Lots of home brews and guests here, but the ones I tried very not very impressive. Obviously appeals to a yournger clientelle than me. But a good place for tickers.

Nice old British pub. Big tap list of their beers and guest taps. Good service and prices. Below average beer. A cool place to visit.

Old classic british interior. Very dark inside. Like going back in time 100 years. No atmosphere at all. Lots of cask beer, several kegs. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Quite nice selection as well, although their own beers were not that good. It could be a great pub, but it didnt work for me.

Visited during RBESG2014, traditional old school boozer with a selection of decent beers, pub dog, selection of howling hops plus guests. Pub I could easily spend a long afternoon in.

Small corner pub with stripped back decor. Small but airy with a tiny yard outside. Howling Hops Brewery in the basement under the bar. Carries around 8 or more of their own beers on cask/keg, plus about 4 real cider/perry taps, and 6+ guest keg, often featuring Kernel, Siren, or others from the London scene. No food but bar snacks such as pork pies and scotch eggs offered.

Nice good sized corner pub. Lots to drink and the usual pub fare, precise are pretty compatible and service is decent. Beer list is extensive, with their own and many more. Pretty good.

Great medium-sized brewpub in Hackney, home of the Howling Hops beers “ brewed in the basement right below your feet”. I stayed here for almost three hours early on a Sunday afternoon and had a great drinking time. Nine of their own ales were available added by guest beers from London breweries like Five Points and Brodies, among others. Altogether there were 16 hand-pumps, including five devoted to ciders, and furthermore eight on kegs. Some of their own beers are on bottles to take away. Dark wooden interior, sparesley decorated, and with a large L-shaped bar. Classic rock music in the background (Iggy, Jonathan Richman etc). Friendly and informative service – thanks for serving me ales in thirds. I used buss no.30 from Kings Cross (about 15 minutes), it is also quite possible to walk from the nearest tube station, being Bethnal Green (visited 13.07.2014 as the first part of one of my best days in London, ever).

Great little pub in Hackney Central, loads of hand pulled cider, cask beer & plenty of craft keg, 2 Kernels when I visited, good for other London micros, knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere, never a dull moment here, a must if in London. Pork pie looks superb

I really like this pub especially for all this wood and the old style feeling .. The selection it’s good with their own brew always on and changing ,many others local ales from London micros and 8 ciders .. The staff is nice and they know the job .. The bar clientele is around 30 years as average , at least in my visits , the prices are quite cheap for London and the pork pie I had was very good ! One of my favourite pub in town !!!!

Man I love the Cock! 8 taps. 8 casks. 8 ciders. About half the beers on are Howling Hops, and the other half are from other London breweries. Small selection of London brewed beers in bottles. Great neighborhood pub feel with a lively atmosphere. Lots of wood: bar, tables, stools, benches. They have the smallest outdoor beer garden you’ll ever see. It only fits a small handful of people. The service is usually good and friendly. Bartenders here have great beards which is another plus. Prices are great for London. Highly recommended.
