70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 14/20
This place was a lot better than I imagine it would be. The selection is pretty good, especially for local Virginia stuff. Lots of small breweries I donít usually see in D.C. on the menu. And a lot of the classic beers I love on tap, great Belgians etc. Price is a little ridiculous sometimes (Barrel-aged BORIS the Crusher for $15 a pint). But the selecion is good overall and I havenít even seen that beer on tap in D.C. so I guess I canít complain too much. $12 a pint for Chimay on the other hand... even D.C. is cheaper than that. Had some tasty cheese fries. Great, big patio.

Yep, about what i expected. Really big bar, lots of tvs. Tons of taps and bottles, but nothing really unique. That being said, they did have a pretty solid selection, and I can pretty much guarantee you will find something worth drinking. Friendly staff, dead on a Wednesday afternoon. I did manage to pick up country number 91 though!

72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20
Lots of beer. Lots of interesting beer, from all over the world. And they donít charge an arm and a leg. The food looked quite good, though I didnít order anything. A pretty cool looking place. The bar is pretty large, and there are lots of tables in the front and back of the place, so accommodation doesnít look like itíll ever be a problem. The bartender that helped us seemed very knowledgeable and very happy to be working there. They also do live music some days during the week.

Had never heard of this place before about two weeks ago. Finally made it there on Friday. Place is around the corner from the Ballston Metro, and around the corner from the mall as well. Place has plenty of outdoor seating, which was good because the place was already packed when I got there around 7:00pm. Inside is a bit small. Food is also strange - they have some food they cook - mostly snacks and some hotdog/sausage dishes, but youíll need to order from one of the local restaurants to have the food delivered there for consumption. There are plenty of taps with some interesting (but not too out of the ordinary brews) there, and bottle list looks about the same. Selection is a bit more "Total Wine" than "Rustico." All in all itís a place that might be worth checking out when itís not nearly as packed.
