An excellent, eclectic place. Came here for breakfast one day - had the Mumbai Migas, which was awesome. I also had a fresh and tasty TX IPA with my breakfast. Good quality, fair value.

This place also doubles as a bottle shop, and there is also a large range of beers on sale. Great range of TX micros, in addition to national craft brewers and imports.

Overall, this is really an outstanding place and definitely worth visiting.

Visited later afternoon on a Thursday. Others have called this place unique, bizarre, eclectic, etc. All very true, the weird factor of this place is off the charts - itís a cinder block beat down building by an interstate that has an outdoor patio and stage, a top class bottle shop, a cool dive bar and house beers. Oh yeah, they have Tex-Mex Indian food too. Parking is out back, and I entered through that door. You immediately enter into the bottle shop portion of the building, which has a broad selection of Texas and national craft. The beer guy took time out of stocking to show me the newest hoppy beers, and beers he was generally excited about. Selection and prices were as good or better than any other place I have been in Austin. As you continue into the building, you enter the darker bar area that has two long bars, and tables spread throughout the room. Counter to order food. Draft beer selection is 27 guest beers and 3 house brewed sours. Beer as available as draft, flights and growlers. Service was great, super knowledgeable on the beers and a pleasure to chat with. I was really impressed by the quality of the house brewed sours and the Indian food. Such a cool place.

88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Really unique spot that is bar with 60 taps, a bottle shop to take and drink there, and food. I was hoping the selection would be better as it was a little light on Texas but had tons of stuff across the country. Nice people decent spot, but I was a little disappointed with rare Texas factor.

Nice selection of drafts. Good bottle selection also. Their beers are interesting as well. Busy every time Iíve been there so service can take a bit and parking is a pain. Too place and definitely worth a visit.

OK, this is definitely a bizarre place. Itís just south of town of I-35. Small parking lot out front. The outside looks kind of decrepit and off-putting. But step inside and you are in sort of an Elvis meets Bollywood meets 7 Eleven meets beer geek nirvana. The bar on the left has elevated stools and chalk drawings of Ganesh, the elephanr god. They have house beers, supposedly brewed on premises, under the name Kamala Brewing - even though it was just ten in the morning, I had to partake, even though a flight of four was $15. They were pretty tasty and creative, and paired well with a sort of curry meets TexMex breakfast. The colers in back have an interesting range of local, regional, national, Belgian and German beers - and yes, even some from the imperial land of the former raj. Service is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop.

Eclectic indoor and outdoor space with lots of Indian and Asian influence. Food is good and an East meets West fusion. Selection of beer is pretty big and the staff know their stuff. A good place to go.

Oddest nano brewery/brewpub/beerstore that I have ever been to. Eclectic only in Austin vibe. Long, odd bar, beers to go. House beers, guest taps, coffee, tea, kombucha. Friendly service, good prices. Easy parking. Doesnít look like much from the outside. The bathroom smells like someone died in it. Oddly conflicted and confused, but I enjoyed my time there.

Odd place. Is it an Indian restaurant? A bar ? A bottle shop? All apparently, but for me this seems to result in compromises on all. To be honest I didnít try the food, but the bar looks shabby and the amount of storage for beers is fairly limited. Some nice beers are available and New ones are clearly marked as such, which is nice, but from the top rated Austin beer shop I expected quite a bit more. Professional but not very personal service. I left with good beers but also a bit disappointed, especially when I then found almost all of them at a lower price at Central Market. They seem to have their heart at the right place, but the place needs work.

Visited October 2011.

Stopped in early in the morning for an eye opener. Actually it was about noon, so not quite as depressing. Also stopped back in later that same night to grab a beer and listen to some live music. This is a bottle shop that has a pretty large selection with some neat stuff. Tons of Texas-made beer that I had never heard of on tap in addition to some of the bigger name stuff. They do samples which helps if you have no idea what half the stuff on tap is. Service was good and helpful. The place smelled strongly of Indian spices which isnít bad per se but if youíre not into that it could be bothersome. The patio in the back is the way to go if itís open but the bar is nice as well. I need to get back now that theyíre brewing (supposedly).

Neat place I stopped in here in Austin. Looks like crap from the outside, but a cool eclectic feel on the inside. Indian type food (though, not what you normally think) and huge tap list (lots of Texas beers). Bottle selection is decent but nothing to call home about. Grabbed my first Jester King brew here and sat with some food and had a good time. Music seems like every night, too (I only came for lunch time). Highly recommended if you are in the area.
