Chill little spot right on Lake Street. This has become my go-to beer store since I’ve been living just a few blocks from here. Small, but well curated selection and about 90% of it is kept cold. Nice guys working behind the register. Check their Instagram feed for new releases and info about a bottle share that happens (usually) on Thursdays.

First off, use the Ratebeer address, not the crap that Google gives you. My phone took me to 415 S Lake, which is a mall. At the very least there is a large parking structure at that address so you can park and then walk the three blocks to 102 S Lake. The downside is that the parking lot is kind of cramped and rich locals drive like douche bags in here. The ramps are narrow so be wary of SUVs turning wide. I don’t have to worry too much about that because of what my car already looks like but if you value your vehicle’s well-being and don’t want to trade paint with some negligent drivers (cue clip of Cartman high on Vagisil driving a stolen Nascar) then be aware. Or better yet, park behind Vendome. The other downside is that if you end up buying a case of Firestone Sucuba like I did (12 bottles are actually two “cases” since Firestone has those bullshit 6-bottle cases) you’ll have to walk all the way back with those boxes.

I spotted the red sign ahead of time but still almost waked by since I was looking at the Lamborghini parked out front. Inside you’ll find a lot of wine but in the back where the fridges are you’ll find some beer. They only have about six or seven doors worth of beer but it’s a pretty good selection. The one door had a sign in it that said 20% off all pumpkin beers, of which they had at least a dozen different ones including both the oaked and regular Midnight Sun pumpkin beers. There is a small display on the floor with a sign on it that says “fancy beer”. There I found some Rodenbach Vintage 2011, some Chimay Blue magnums (2013), several “cases’ of Firestone Abacus, several cases of Deshutes Mirror Mirror ($16.99 a bottle now, ugh), and a few different Cascade beers. Over all the prices were about what other stores are charging and they have a good selection. I ended up spending $225 in the 10 minutes I was in there.

Small selection of mostly local bottles, plus some belgian stuff. Not bad selection or prices, but most of the stuff can be gotten from Whole Foods. Service was great plus tho!
