Been there several times. It is a nice place, has good beers on tap, friendly staff. Their Highhops on tap is excellent. They have bottles for take away. Place is relative new, but they have their installation up and running now. When in Utrecht, this place is a must. You can reach it best by bus.

Compelled to write a review because the few previous ones didnít generate a high enough score/rating/impression. This is seriously one of the best breweries in the Netherlands. They take the best influences of American and 21st century craft breweries and pubs but keep it modern Dutch. IMO, High Hops is the best IPA in Holland. Stouts 6 and 8 are pitch perfect. And the Imperial Saison is dang tasty, plus it exemplifies one of the best aspects of the brewery: they donít only have one house yeast and itís not a boring Belgian strain. With as many house beers as they offer, a good amount of seating inside and, if the weatherís nice, tons and tons of space for sitting on the lawn outside, this is a must. (And I didnít even try any food except some cheese which was outstanding. If youíre in Utrecht, taking the bus out here is a must. If youíre a beer lover visiting Amsterdam, itís worth trying to squeeze into your trip.

Interesting place. More of a shed in which next to the beer brewing tanks they found some room for guests. When I was there they had a catering truck outside serving food. Had nice stew of course associated with some stoutís. Nice staff. Took 6-pack home. Recommendated for other beer lovers.

Great to see a island of good beer in an otherwise boring part of Utrecht. You can see all the installations which is great. Varied public of beerlovers and locals alike. Local food is prominent too, with help from the local green store and orchards nearby. Would never go to De Meern for anything other than Maximus, very nice place.

Nice spacious interior with selection of tables and bar stools. Beer magazines available to read while you drink. Staff not too friendly or chatty, they just get on with their work. Food looked nice but expensive. The beer is also expensive but tastes very good. You can take away a 6 pack (330ml bottles) for Ä12

Located in a boring neighbourhood of Utrecht, this brings some light into that darkness. They have recently openend, but are still not completely up and running. Interior looks nice, good bar. Some seats available, not too close to each other. The crowd still has to find its way to the brewery, but hopefully that will come. Beers are top quality. They have some nice snacks, no full kitchen though they are planning on some more fingerfood in the future. Place to keep in touch with.

Was there at the grand opening of the bar. A bit crowded, but still service was good. Only beers from the Maximus beerline was served, so donít really know, what will be available, when the bar runs on a "normal" day. Itís situated a bit off the beaten track (20Ä by taxi from Utrecht Centraal).
