A pleasant bar on the seafront with a broad selection of mainly Belgian beers, though no real rarities for UK. Food menu included seafood & features daily specials. Visted 13 May 2013.

In some ways a bit of a sister pub to La Trappiste in Canterbury - the owners are family, and the bottled beer selection is almost identical. Not many ticks for someone who’s sought out Belgian beers for as long as I have, but I still managed to find a couple, as almost everything’s big-ish name stuff. However, for England, this is an unusually broad selection. Slightly scruffy pub, but I don’t mind that in a pub. The owner’s a diamond geyser, he sorted us out with accomodation - we’d come to town without booking anything! The rest of ramsgate, to be honest, looked like a shithole. I think only one other pub looked worth going to, the rest were boom-chi, chrome and flashig like macro swill places, and we didn’t have a chance to get to that other OK looking one. So this would be the first place I’d aim for in town. Very easy to find - just follow the coast. Breakfast at 8am too - magic!
