Old school brown bar, lots of wood. Prices are either a dash higher or dash lower than average. Service is only at the bar. Beers list was the full of the usual suspects, good beers overall. I stuck to Duvel & De La Senne beers here. Rather spacious. They did offer 4 beers of the month & these seem to rotate, one of these was Westmalle Dubbel, only one was something that is probably a new beer for most people. Good place to hang out with friends & drink the classics. Not a beer geek bar. Come here with the right intention & it will good.
This paneled wall establishment is directly across the street from the Brussels Marriott Grand Place. There are a few dozen beers available at reasonable prices and a few bar snacks to share as you drink mostly Belgian beer.
Nice cozy bar located right next to la Bourse. Very vintage, old school brown cafe with bar service only, classic Belgian bottles as a bottle list. Service is trilingual, some of the clientel is quite old school. I like the ambiance here, very laid back, some Bob Dylan was playing when I was there. The major attraction of this place is prices, especially for the location. A 750ml of Saison Dupont for just over 6 euro, or a Oud Beersel gueuze for the same price is a very interesting offer. Not a very extensive selection, actually quite pedestrian for Belgium, but great value. No real food.
