Late lunch during a work trip. Cool laid back vibe. House made beers are pretty good plus there is a big list of guest beers. The pizza was well above average. Great stop.

Visited here for a late lunch on a Friday in early September í15 while in the Austin area for business. Pizza is ordered separately from the beer. Pizza is excellent, I had a Greek-type pizza and it was excellent. Wide choice of house beers - about five regulars that are always on tap, a few rotating seasonals and specials and also about 25 guest taps. Solid lineup, all of theirs that I had were solid. Friendly, knowledgeable bar staff. Prices were pretty reasonable. If I lived in Austin, this would be a regular stop. Parking is kind of tight - but they warn you,

Great concept: no waiters or waitress. Beer and food purchased are separate and you order yourself when ready. Also have a great draft list experimental pilot batches always being brewed. Their house beers plus guest taps was about 40 deep. Oh, and the pizza is pretty damn good as well. If I return to Austin, this is a place I will return to. However, the parking sucks. Be ready to drive around for a few times or park many streets away.

Solid beer and pizza joint. 10 house brews and 30 guest beers. Great pizzas. Not sure where all these people parked.

Parking- yeah, good luck with that. Your best bet is to go immediately behind the place and hope there is a spot available. There are other auxillary lots suggested on the door, but, otherwise, plan on taking public transportation here. Walking in for lunch, youíre immediately hit with a wave of yeast aroma in the air- good or bad depending upon your reaction to it. Definately modeled after the Pizza Port chain in Cali, the place has a nautical theme. Beer- 6 in house, and a slew of guest taps. Clearly, some of the best of the best in town. Food- pizza, and some of the best in town outside of Homeslice and Nikiís, the number 3 spot in this town isnít too shabby, because after them, it drops off, QUICKLY. Price- a liitle high according to me, but the old lady has told me Iíve been a cheapass the past few years. Overall- yep, going back. Just have to take the bus though- hit the joint about an hour before DH down the road opens, and get loaded.

Parking is exceptionally difficult. There are some parking hints taped to the door, but by then itís too late. Kind of weird inside, you queue for the beer on the left, and for the pizza straight ahead. It was crowded on a Friday night, but I got a seat at the bar, which made it easy to order a flight and grab a pizza too. You can get a house flight or a guest flight, thereís plenty of variety. Pizza was tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful despite being very busy. A worthwhile stop.

Perhaps not the most original concept, but it is executed very well here. And great pizza and great beer just work (for me). Very friendly service, the girl behind the counter was knowledgeable and helpful. Nice that they serve smaller bites too, not only full sizes pizzas, and their lunch offer is a great deal. Very readable prices anyway. The beers are plenty and very well made. Good variation in styles too. Nice decor, typical American yet very fitting. The only complaint I can think if is that itís pretty much only accessible by car and that means at least one in the party has to moderate. And indulging here is much easier!

This is my new favorite brewpub in Austin. What more can you want in a place than great pizza and great beer? Modeled after Pizza Port, Pinthouse Pizza has 6-10 house beers and 25 or so guest taps. The house beers cover a wide range of styles and the guest taps cover the rest. The pizza is outstanding and while you can get a basic pepperoni, the chefs have come up with creative pies that I recommend trying. Give this place a try.
