This is the only Ram location Iíve been to, so my review doesnít really have a frame of reference to compare other locations to this. But that said, itís a typical sports bar / brew pub, with a small oval bar in the middle in the back part. Beer quality is nothing special, but thereís at least nothing wrong with it. ~$6 flights of 6 beers was a great deal and the service was very good. Wouldnít recommend it unless youíre stuck in the University Village for a while and need some beers to tick.

Located right next to the University of Washington in the U Village shopping center, often full of college kids and sports fans. Decent trivia night.

Not a bad place to catch a game and drink some ok beer, but I wouldnít say it is a craft beer mecca. Some of their beers are pretty underrated, but some of them arenít so good. Itís nice to try the sampler platter to get a feel for all of the styles. Food is good, but like I said, definitely a sports bar first

As far as RAMS go I like this one. Conveniently located in the mall area so you can guilt your lady into going there after wasting your life and money shopping. They have a large back bar area with TVs everywhere and long, snaking bar. Typical sportsbar atmosphere. Iíd hate to be there during a Husky game. I think their beer is decent. The big red and porter are tight. The menu is huge and itís mostly reasonably priced pub group. Usually tasty. Not sure what their happy hour is but it seems like itís almost always going on. Only $2.99 for a monster beer on Sundays.

Take it for what it is, a brewpub right smack dab in the middle of University Village. Thereís plenty of the fraternity broí crowd on friday and saturday nights, however weekdays bring an eclectic mix of young and old alike, aging hipsters, and the latest generation Yíers who are now starting to get married and settle down. The latest re-incarnation of U-Village has definitely helped shift the crowd to a more mature and more beer-educated population. The infamous Jim Quilter (RIP 2009, he will be missed by all) took over as head brewer a while back and during his tenure he transformed the recipes and tap selection into something that this RAM location hadnít seen since the very beginning... drinkable, interesting, and intriguing brews. I was impressed with the attitude of the staff when I asked if I could speak with the brewmaster, he shared stories and a laugh or two and even was willing to give me some of the house-yeast for my own homebrewing adventures. Over the years the food has greatly evolved and the menu has expanded into more delicate global flavors and influences while still keeping the crowd-pleasing burgers and fries. Weekend afternoons are awesome for their happy hour, weekday evenings are pleasant and comfortable. Worth a stop if youíre in the area.

28 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 5/20
What a disappointment. Five of the six beers ranged from terrible (the seasonal light) to the poor side of mediocre. The IPA was actually reasonable, but I donít know how much my standards had been lowered by trying the other five first.
Food was reasonable, but there was a surprisingly long wait to get in.
Atmosphere is "bro central" and is well matched by the sorority girl staff.
This place has nothing to do with craft beer, and itís a "must miss" for any visitor to Seattle. Hey, itís even a must miss for any local.

Tasty and super-cheap apetizers for happy hour. The hefe and the porter were tasty, the other brews (when I was there) were unimpressive. Great place to watch a game, but finding a seat can be a problem. Ambiance bonus for the barmaids.

Great pub grub. Cute sorority girl staff. The amberís pretty drinkable, and there are plenty of TVs, including a huge screen in the bar. A credible alternative to shopping in the mall where itís located, if by chance you get dragged there on errands.

Unimpressed on my one visit there with my family and some friends. Slow service (for no apparent reason). Lackluster food. And a limited beer selection that seemed of a somewhat lower quality than other Ram/Big Hornís Iíve been to.
