Commercial warehouse district spot. Some seats but not many, a small outside patio. 1 small tv. Furniture is cheap, uncomfortable and constantly spilling beer because they are uneven tables (I sat at 2 tables, observed other tables with the same problems). They sell tasters, regular pours, growlers and kegs. Decent variety of beers, ipa and rye heavy. A couple good beers but too many misses that I couldít drink. Decent spot in a limited location for competition for breweries but I wouldnít say its a must try.

In an industrial section of trendy Ballard. Very bare bones brewery tasting room. That being said, friendly staff, nice selection of house brews, what more do you want. Definitely worth checking out....

I have visited on several occasions now. Be warned, it isnít big on the inside and can get quite busy at times...standing room only like. Atmosphere isnít much, seating is set up in the middle of a brewery when the tasting room is open. No food, but they have trucks and pretty sure you can bring in your own grub. What they do have is plenty of their beers on and in various sizes including samples. Brews are usually solid and one of the best spots beer wise in the bloated Ballard scene. Easy to find and street parking is plentiful

Been here several times, and Iím glad to see it getting more and more packed each time. Small, unassuming spot. Occasional food trucks. Great beers, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommended to anybody visiting Seattle.

Stopped in on a Thursday night and it was humming. Simple place, good beers, food truck outside. Not to much to say about this place, except it is definitely worth a stop.

One of the best little breweries in Washington. Lots of rye based beers, and a good selection of medal winners. Two levels and big tables, pretzels. This place is pretty busy when I stopped in, so get there early if you want a table.

An excellent brewpub that focuses on rye beers (Iíd say at least half of their offerings were rye beers). Located in a large garage-type setting with some outdoor seating and circular metal tables inside. High ceilings with natural lighting through windows. There is no service per se- you order your beers in the back, find your table, and go back up as needed. The beers were quite good - I got to sample the american rye, red rye pils, and pumpkin rye and found all to be quite tasty. There is no food menu but there is a big bowl of pretzels in the front, from which you can help yourself. Overall, a solid brewpub with lots of tasty rye beers (and Iím sure the non-rye beers are great too :-) ) that is definitely worth a visit.

Totally an unknown that needs a LOT more recognition. Every beer I had was spot on and very drinkable. I found myself finishing all 12 samples that were poured for me and begging the guy to let me buy their bourbon barrel stout even though it wasnít out yet. It was a long trip to get here from Vermont and this was an awesome place. I look forward to try ing more of their stuff eventually. also the guy on staff that sunday was super knowledgeable.

This place is in a small garage slash old auto repair shop, looks like, with an upper deck, some benches, and a small outside space. Really comfortable vibe, friendly staff and customers. Twelve (yes, twelve) beers in the massive sampler tray, so bring friends. A must-visit.

All you need to have a great place is amazing beers. Thatís all Reubenís really offers, and they make it great. They generally have an even dozen beers on, with many of them prominently featuring rye in the malt bill. Rye IPA, Rye this, Rye that. Rye is delicious, so this is definitely a huge point in their favor. Theyíre right behind the huge Add Bardahl Oil sign that youíve driven by a million times. They have a little industrial space with a roll-up garage door; the people door is around the side. You walk in to a convincing tasting room with benches, tables, highboys, and a genuine restroom. Thereís a bar at the back with hundreds of sparkling clean glasses, and thereís more seating upstairs. You order your beers, or tasters, and they hand íem over. They arrange the tasters on pre-marked serving sheets so you can look back at the board and check the beers by number and remember what youíre trying. The beers are already fantastic, after just a few months in operation, and have been since they opened. The brewer pulls the taps for you, and cheerfully announces that heís averaging fewer than one day off a month, generally pulling 14-hour shifts. Theyíre making new stuff all the time, sometimes on the pilot system, and theyíre always keeping the big tanks full. All that work shows in what they deliver--lots of different good beers, and plenty of kegs of many of them. Theyíre entering every festival they can get an application for, and they really keep an eye on which beers make people jump up and down. Itís always the brewers who are already really good who want all this feedback. (Brewers who complain that people donít "get" their beers are too often making beers that just arenít that great, anyway--these guys are the exact opposite on both counts). There are coasters, stickers, t-shirts, and the like available here. But other than that, and the beer, thereís not much else going on. Those benches and tables get shoved back into storage most of the week, so the man can brew. Everything here is powered by elbow grease and sheer force of will, and the payoff is already evident. Itíll be a blast watching these guys grow.
