We had lunch here, just a few steps from the main drag. Sat on the small patio and watched the colorful crowds go by. Parking is challenging, but we managed. Food was tasty, mostly healthy and creative pub fare and sandwiches. They had a few beers we hadnít seen at other places, plus one regional cider. Server gave us someone elseís check but quickly rectified it. Worth a look.

This is slowly becoming one of my favorite spots in Charlottesville. Thereís now 20+ beers on tap, many of which are from the surrounding area. Rotating beers from Champion and Devils Backbone seem to be mainstays in a lineup that changes fairly often. The huge bourbon selectionís worth a gander too. This place somehow manages the admirable feat of being a place that you want to hang out in despite the fact that itís always rammed with customers. I havenít tried the food, but it looks excellent. Overall, a more than worthy way to spend your time if youíre visiting town.

I FINALLY made it to this place despite it being open for many months. This place is VERY popular so expect crowds. One the downtown mall, this is kind of a two-sided place with a long wooden bar on the right side. As the name implies, this place has a very extensive selection of whiskeys. The also have a good bottle selection of beer (as well as cider and wine) and a draft list full of locals and other craft beer (as well as Natty Bo, but that has to be expected). I ordered fries covered with sausage gravy from the late night menu, and it was quite tasty. Prices are good overall and parking is plentiful if youíre willing to spend a few bucks.
