This is NOT a beer bar. When this is said, I must admit, I kind of fell in love with this little wine bar. Why is that? Well, they did have only two bottles to choose from, when I was there in the springtime about Easter, so the selection is/was poor, but it was bottles from the norwegian brewery Nøgne Ø, and especially their #500, an Imperial IPA. When you had been around the city, looking for some bitter beers like IPAs or the likes of that and didn’t managed to find anything, you did feel like finding a church for your thirst. This fact and the fact, that the venue is situated in a very nice street, cozy and kind of quiet although it’s a big street. Visit it in the afternoon, from 12-15, to sit in the sun outside in the nice outside furnitures.
The hostess didn’t know much about the beers or beers in general, as their priority is at wines and the restaurant. But she was very polite and suggested me another place, a real beer-bar down the centre of the old town. At my second visit at Vini Mundo (had to have that #500), she guided me to a third beer bar in the near of this one.
At the downside: The poor selection as I mentioned, and then the prices. I paid 10 € for a beer and that’s expensive even in Denmark.
Even though I’d probably would revisit the place the next time I’m in Nice.

My wife and I saw the review on this page and decided to check out the bar as we are vacationing in Nice. They had two beers and both in the bottle. This is a wine establishment I’m rating it super low as this website is ratebeer and not rate wine.

North-east of the old town, on the now tram only Avenue de la Republique street lined with shops on either side for its full length, it’s best just to follow the rails if you’re unsure how to find this place. It’s a restaurant in a shop unit that unlike the dawn to dusk places in the tourist areas of the city, only opens at the usual French eating hours - but you’ll be able to get a decent lunch or evening meal here and the food is good. There’s no menus, just what has been chalked up on blackboards which will be brought to you if you require a further look once seated. Wine is the main tipple here and their very knowledgeable, and a small ground floor vault area holds a big selection that takes up a slice of the available table space, but is visible from the street to give you a taster of what you can expect inside. The small craft beer selection, all from Nøgne Ø are also on show here and most of the Norwegian brewers core bottled ale selection are here, although it will probably only take you half a dozen visits to get through it all. It’s not exclusively a restaurant and people use it as a wine bar too if you’re not interested in eating here.

Visited on a Friday evening in March 2014. This is a relaxed place which mostly focus on wine but they also hade around 10 different ones from Nøgne. I only had one, Nøgne Ø # 100 (Batch 100). The bottle cost 9 EUR.
The woman spoke English and was friendly, the location of this place is close to Place Garibaldi. I did not try the food.

Very relaxed wine bar which has nearly all Nøgne beers available in bottles. Wine selection was excellent too. Service is great, prices are reasonable. Food was limited this time to cheese and cold cuts because the new Beaujolais arrived and the place was very busy. Overall a highly recommend bar for very good beer and wine.

Finally a place that sells world class craft beer and food in Nice! The place is run by a charming young couple and they have an extremely good selection of bottled craft beers from Nøgne Ø. When I last went they had ten different varieties from Nøgne Ø, such as a Belgian style Blonde, an English type Bitter, great American style Pale Ale, Brown Ale, Imperial Brown Ale, Saison and India Saison. It is a true gem in a town where the majority of places sell dull macro lagers. In addition the food they serve is home cooked every day and as delicious as the beers!
