Formerly a brewpub (under a different name) but apparently itís now completely different to the way it was. Itís been nicely renovated in a modern gastropub style; there are squashy sofas, flagstone floors and a very light and airy conservatory area at the back. All very pleasant. The beer range wasnít huge but there was enough to choose from. Although they no longer brew there thereís a house beer, which appears in an adapted print showing a rotund, rosy cheeked chap brandishing a foaming pewter mug.

An attractive and busy brewpub/restaurant on the opposite side of the Market Square to Lovibonds. This was formerly the Henley Brewhouse , but has since been taken over by Brakspears, renamed, and disappointingly brewing on site has stopped. The house beer now being provided by the nearby Bell Street Brewery (also Brakspears). Most of the beers available now come from the Marstonís stable - but there are usually a couple of local guests.

Quite a large brewhouse at the top end of the market place, tucked away a little. There is some friendly banter to be had despite the main trade being quite foodie during the afternoon, drinkers are best off near the front. There was a small range of their own beer plus a couple of guests on our visits. Worth a visit when in Henley if not a destination brew pub.

Live rating from here Friday 22nd March 2013. This is a smart, tidy place, wood and slate floors and tasteful if trendy National Trust type colour scheme. This place seems to be aiming at a more affluent young professional type crowd, however that doesnít mean that some of them canít be a bit pissed as two very well dressed women are on this visit. I had a Henley Brewhouse Rising Sun which was a citrussy little number. Its a nice little place that seems to be doing very well, six handpumps and about three kegs on offer on this visit with Bingham, Windsor & Eton and Hooky Double Stout alongside three of their own. Oh my the pissed up women are getting quite loud now :-)
