We visited Beermoth twice, once on Friday 17th and again on Saturday 18th April 2015. Situated in the heart of the Northern Quarter on one of the key roads i.e. Tib Street this is an easy place to find, it is also quite close to a number of good bars. It is a lovely shop inside, the relatively small proportions of the shop are maximised well with no wasted space at all. You enter from the RH side the till is straight ahead at the front of the shop, there is a step up and on the RH side is a great selection of UK beers with Buxton, Thornbridge, Runaway, Cloudwater etc. There is a large central island with a very good range, I seem to recall some of the London boys such as Kernel, Beavertown, Partizan etc were here. As you move towards the rear of the shop and around the island to the other side you come across a very good Belgian and German range. A fridge on this side with some big US beers and some further shelving with more US beers on the RH side near the counter, btw the US selection looked excellent. The staff were really on top of their game and were excellent for local knowledge. The prices were very fair and we were impressed with such a good selection that we came back again on the Saturday to pick up some more, I got some Runaway beers following our discussion with Mike from Runaway earlier in the day, what a nice fella he is. Great shop, without a one of the best in the UK that I have been to l.

Visited on a trawl around Manchester, really friendly and chatty staff keep watch over a really good selection of beers from around the world. Some interesting US beers were available including Cascade which I donít often see over here. Iíd recommend a stop here, pity they donít have a couple of taps to have a beer whilst browsing. Thatíd just about top it off!

Excellent addition to the Manchester beer scene run by true beer enthusiasts. Outstanding choice of bottles, easy to navigate shelves. Visited here on a Saturday when each customer is invited to sample some wares in the basement tasting room. Great ambience. I left this fine establishment bemoaning the fact my firm donít pay me enough! Will certainly be back next time Iím in Manchester.

Possibly my favourite beer destination. Fantastic selection. All angles covered, from local brews, to big hitting US stuff, to Cantillon, to Dutch Saisons! The owners are nothing less than full on enthusiast and knowledgable. I donít leave here without a smile on my face. Tasting room available.

Any beer shop has good ambiance, this one is no exception. Great service and help in finding some beers from missing counties, great. Took the beers to my hotel and tasted/rated. Worthwile a detour.

Easily one of the best beer shopping experiences in the UK. A very small shop but incredibly well-thought and laid out. It has everything from specialist US imports such as Alesmith and Pipeworks to big bottles of De Struise and De Molen as well as seasonal offerings from De Dolle and St Bernadus. The prices were pretty damn good too and apart from a couple of picky items I thought were a bit too high it was generally excellent for price. The range was great and I was very happy to see beers in stock which I thought I had missed. Many thanks for stocking Ashover and local brewery Quantum BC. Great range of sours as well. Iíll be back.

Visited September 2013. Good selection of English, continental and some American bottles. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Would love to visit there again.

Wonderful selection of local and international brews. Not too many beers, but all they sell is just good quality. Downstairs has a small tasting room as well. Great dudes running the shop. Would love to have one like this around the corner.

Great little sanctuary from the íLittle Williamsburgí that is the Northern Quarter. Massively varied selection with a lot of unique, hard-to-find beers from smaller EU brewers, actually reminds me of an indie record shop in that regard.

The owners are friendly but arenít particularly talkative so donít expect a massive geeky natter. No cider unfortunately. Prices are mixed.. some cheap, some eye-wateringly expensive. In all, this is a must-visit on your trip to Manchester and a great place to find all those Northern beers that tend to elude the London bottle shops. Open fairly late too.
