60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20
I guess itís not a bad place for Graz. Selection of Belgian , German, UK, and some Austrian beers. Slow service, understaffed. Nothing good on tap but some decent bottles. Patio was smokey.

Surely the number one beer place in Graz! Firstly, the location and ambiance is a bit strange. Although it is located in a nice disctrict of Graz, just in front of the old town and the Schlossberg, there are some shady night clubs beside. Also, you wonít guess that this is a special place for special beers, if you see this from the outside (at least in winter, when there is no sidewalk garden). Inside it is seperated in different rooms of which one is a billard room. On the corridor between billard room and bar there are loads of fridges packed with dozens of different beers and beer glasses. nice! The ambiance inside the bar and dining rooms is also a bit weird, looks like a student bar, the music was some latin american when I visited and inbetween beer bottles mostly from Belgium are showcased. weird mixture, but still cosy. Letís talk about the most important finally: The beer selection is huge! The tap selection isnít special, but the bottle selection, especially from Belgium, is really impressive for Austrian means (have a look at their homepage, where they list almost everything)! Dozens of world class beer from Belgium, although nothing rare, some great beers from Germany (for example Schneider Weisse Eisbock, Aecht Schlenkerla), Britain (BrewDog, Fullerís 1845) and also all beers from the fantastic new styrian Bevog Brewery. Service is beyond average, really friendly. Food is very good, down to earth, Burgers, grilled food, Pasta, etc. Overall a must visit when in Graz!
