A nice shop close to our hotel a fearful selection of beers from Australia and the rest of the world, the service was friendly a very good shop but pricey for strong beers such as All strong beers in Australia I have noticed

A really good beer selection. I wasn’t expecting such an extensive range but the back part of the store sure did deliver with single and large format bottles. Of course, most interest will be in the Aussie stuff for visitors and locals alike and there’s a good choice of Sydney and state breweries here. Decent NZ selection too. There’s fridges keeping the six packs chilled. Two taps pouring for growler fills. Staff were friendly and quick to offer assistance. The place to shop for beer in central Sydney.

skip the coolers and head to the back. Much more eclectic selection here than initially presented by the front coolers. Lots of locals as well as decent selections of imports.

Definitely one of Sydney’s top beer destinations for the serious or adventurous beer lover...always a great range of local and imported products with a particlarly impressive and regularly updated range of USA craft brews and a similarly comprehensive range from the best european craft brewers. Friendly and enthusiastic staff..Ian in particular is very knowledgeable in all matters beer, and is always happy to oblige with advice or recommendations. I always enjoy my shopping sorties, and the fact that Oak Barrel also stock a superb range of spirits with a famously huge selection of whiskeys makes a visit worthwhile even without considerng all those beers..My highest recommendation

Visited twice on July 17, 2013. Once before lunch, once in the evening before going back to the hostel.
Why oh why didn’t I check this place out earlier on my visit?? What a place! If you’re going to on bottle shop in Sydney, make it this one!
Sign outside boasting with 432 beers!
On Elizabeth St., close to Central.
Some cold bottles of beer and cider that you see at first, then you get directed to the room temp bottles around the corner, oh my.
Nice friendly service. I’d go back often did I live in Sydney.
Nice broad selection of domestic and imported bottles.

Awesome bottle shop that is just a few doors down from my work, (so that’ll be dangerous) Really large selection but not so huge it’s overbearing and full of stale stock. Great little area for growler refills and the staff know their stuff. I found it really decently priced, too. Quite a bit cheaper than some other places in the city. As a bonus they have an awesome selection of wines and spirits as well. So I’ll be able to pick up some nice bottles of scotch, too.
