Really liked this atmospheric ramshackle old pub. Good selection of ale with some interesting stuff from Austrian micros along with a lot of foreign beers. Probably the best selection I found in Vienna. Good service & fair prices. Recommended.
A great, big & busy pub in an easy to reach location. Selection of draught beers as good as Ive seen in Europe!
Staff friendly and seem to know their beers. Food was excellent too, the Irish Salmon was a treat!
A real mix of guests, a genuine melting pot. Brilliant!
If Brian Pattonís pub restaurant, one tramstop or a quick walk up from Schottentor - Universeitat on the U2 metro, fails to win a Michelin star this year the critics will have got a flat tyre. The food is stunning and the pairings dangerous - or you can just dip in for a few beers like it is a good old-fashioned local. Better Austrian and other beers abound including surprising ones that sound mainstream like Ottakringer Wiener. A necessary splurge while in town.
The new tap selection of 29 taps has really added greatly to the selection. This includes 5-6 changing taps and local austrian beers also. Fantastic food including a beer and food tasting menu! This place gets better and better!
There are many Irish Pubs in Vienna, but this is propably the best! Really cosy, with different rooms on the ground floor and in the basement. There are also some cosy, seperate "cabins" on the ground floor. Typically for an Irish Pub, the music is also very good. Beer list is really good, with lots of Irish, British, German, Austrian, American, etc. beers. They have always one guest tap, which often is worth a try. I didnít try the dining room yet, but what I saw and what I heard, the food is amazing and something really special - but also pretty pricey as expected. Overall a must visit in Vienna!
