Found this place to be pretty interesting. Good selection of USA craft on tap - I went on a founders tap takeover might so was pretty pleased. Nothing totally rare on tap but with around 40 tap beers to choose from I was pretty happy. Not a lot of bar space which was annoying but it's a small set up. Definitely pop in for a pint and sport.

We visited Draught 55 for a low key afternoon of watching football and drinking good beer. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the place looked inside, and they had an interesting draft list. I’m not from NY, though, so I can see where the list would be a bit more boring to others. All good beer, but only a couple things on the more special/rare side. Overall, we had a very nice time. I wouldn’t say it’s a *must* visit for you ratebeer readers, but if I lived in the neighborhood it would probably be a nice hangout place. One awkward vibe I felt was the trend that seems to be spreading around - bars putting in a boat load of tap handles with craft beer because it’s ’what’s cool’ or ’what you’re supposed to do’, and not for the sake of having a passion for craft beer and spreading the culture. The bartender/s weren’t very knowledgable about beer. The beer program feels like an afterthought or like one manager puts a decent list together and forgets to train everyone on it.

I dropped in afer lunch on A Friday. A decent selection of drafts and bottles and the staff at the bar was very freindly and had some good suggestions. Food was typical for a bar but good. Maybe not a destination but wo rth a stop if you are in the area.

Finally stopped in on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Handsome bar and friendly bartender. Mozzarella sticks were decent. Lots of drafts and bottles but nothing too exciting. Anyways if something interesting pops on beer menus ill be back

This place took over where the old Blackstone’s was for many years. Fairly nice ambiance, long bar with seperate eating area. Draft and bottle selection is solid, there’s nothing crazy here but they have a nice rotation of mostly American craft beers. Probably about 30+ taps. This place can get really jammed at peak times like most places in midtown east. Serivce was good, food was fairly tasty. Bonus is they fairly frequently update their draft/bottle list on beermenus.com so you can see what’s on tap before you go, which is a huge plus.
