Visited on a busy Saturday night, cosy little place with rooms on 2 floors, although didnít venture into the basement. Good selection of beers featuring First Chop and other guests from local breweries.
Food looked good but watched and didnít eat, Definitely worth a look in. Bus 472 stops virtually outside and only a couple of minutes (uphill!) from Irwell Works Brewery tap

Visited on a busy Saturday night. Small, cosy place at street level with subdued lighting. Did not venture downstairs. Interesting beer range with two from First Chop Brewing Arm. Didnít eat, but food looked very good. Neither a typical local boozer nor a trendy beer bar. Iíd definitely go back.

The First Chop Bar and Kitchen is clearly Ramsbottomís craft beer bar. It has five taps serving interesting local ales (including some from the First Chop Brewing Arm, located at the same address) plus a range of draught ciders and an impressive bottle list. It has a flagstone floor and the walls that arenít stone are decorated in bright primary colours. It has an alternative, cheap and cheerful feel. I liked it although the toilets (downstairs, where thereís another bar) left something to be desired on the cleanliness front and the barman was very pressed as there was a party of about nine people eating when we were there.
