A huge brewpub in the centre of Bangkok where they brew two of their own beers, a Pilsener and a Bitter. The brewing takes place in the centre of this underground bar which adds to the atmosphere. In addition to the locally brewed beers they have all the other beers you would expect to find in a Bangkok bar. Itís big on food and their is live music too. Wifi is solid. Well worth a visit.
Large, well-lighted place with a pool table and live music. Two home brews and one half-and-half derived from them, good food menu, enthusiastic service, good music as a bonus. Nice expat place for Bangkok.
Quite large pub located between Asok and Phrom Phong Station. Convenient location on Sukhumvit Road. Friendly service and okay beer. The bitter was quite nice, but the pilsner was nothing special. Nice change from the sweet SE Asian pale lagers. Visited 2012-05-15
Underneath a commercial building off Sukhumvit Rd. A little bit tricky to find actually. This is a pretty fun place that is certainly ex-pat focused but we had a bunch of birthday parties with Thai friends here and had a blast. Prices are pretty hilarious for BKK, so this is more of a "splurge" place for special occasions. Food is outstanding and is really not Thai focused. They have some sort of buffet dinner on a certain night of the week, I forgot when, but that is the time to go. Huge array of fancy food and all at a set price. The beer here is decent, but is probably the only microbrews you will find in Thailand so itís fun to explore in that regard. You can eat in a sort of rathskeller dungeon area that is pretty cool. Still, if you are in Thailand to discover the country and discover its food, culture, and people; the Londoner is not going to help.
The map seems to be wrong and Iíve no idea how to change it. It on the Sukhumvit road, next to soi (lane) 33. About 10 mins walk from the Sukhumvit/Asoke metro stations.
Only 2 of their own beers which is a pity. Food is expensive for Bangkok but the service is very good and it has airco. Worth a visit :-)
London Pilsner 33 on tap: A little hazy, reminded me a little of homebrew, but OK.
Londonerís Pride Cream Bitter: Clear, overcarbonated, clean, neutral taste. Tasted more like dark lager. Same yeast as the pilsner?
They also had Guinnes draught, Erdinger Wheat, Duvel and international lagers.
This is styled after a British pub. They only have two beers on draught. They have a pilsner and a bitter. The bitter was nice since most of the beer in SE Asia is German or Czech style. Itís a bit overpriced for Bangkok but still cheaper than most Western bars. The pilsner was clean and crisp but not spectacular.
