I thought I had reviewed this before when I did a previous trip to Ohio City but it must have slipped under the radar. Located near the West Side Market along with Market Garden, Nanobrew, ABC the Tavern, and a number of other beer focused bars, this bar mixes great food with a deep selection of drafts.

Unlike the brewery focused places that also line West 25th (such as Great Lakes and Market Garden) Town Hall provides a bit of something for everybody. Besides the obligatory local craft offerings you should find a mixture of regional pours from Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania alongside more nationally distributed brands. Prices are in line with other bars in the area - do not expect a bargain but you will not feel as if you were ripped off either.

One draw is the food which pairs well with the extensive draft list. More than just a means of soaking up booze, it gives you a reason to linger. Overall Town Hall should be a destination if you are making a night of Ohio City. Between the beer choices, the food menu, and the ambiance you should have no trouble settling right in. The only problem may be the crowds on a busy night and the fact that it can get a bit loud when at capacity.

A hopping place with a good selection of brews on tap. Good food and service. Visited once in 2014 while passing thru Cleveland.

(Visited 10/2013 during Cleveland Beer Week): Town Hall is located in Ohio City on West 25th. Metered street parking is in the surrounding area, as are a couple garages and lots.

The interior features brick walls with wood interlaced, as well as a wooden ceiling. High tables through the center of the room, and again along the wall. Opposite that is a long bar, which features a large orange board that uses multi-colored magnetic letters to list the beers. There is a secondary bar adjacent to the main room.

My visit was to try the Willoughby/Brew Kettle collaboration beer, but among the 20 or so draughts they also had beers from Columbus Brewing, Great Lakes, Oskar Blues, Sixpoint and Avery. 20+ bottled selections as well, with selections from Great Lakes, Bell’s, Rogue and Stone.

Service on a busy Friday night was pretty good at the bar considering how crowded it was. I was helped quickly and the bartenders were friendly.

I did not have any food on my visit.

Overall this is a nice spot to visit within the ever-improving Ohio City beer scene.

Stopped on a Saturday evening around 7pm after a photo session in OC, Waited about 15 minutes, they use your cell phone for the wait list so if you don’t want to give it to the front desk you gotta linger. Tap list is nice but they’re not the best at updating it, I asked for some gumballhead and was told they were out of it, but they do have WBC Peanut Butter Cup on tap (Just for you Watson) and all drafts are 5 bucks, though some are 8oz and some are 14oz you have to read the menu. Few bottles too, including Bruery beers at 20+ per bottle. Large TV’s and 2 bars. plenty of high tops and a few tables on W25th and a patio out back.. nice wooden decor and also offers cigars on the patio so be aware. Parking can be difficult with all Ohio City restaurants so look for street or Valet.

great tap list. well rounded. lot of solid lower abv offerings. had a three floyds alpha king and fat heads kellerbier. all taps @$5. all taps also available in growler fills. big open space in the bar, with a decently sized outdoor patio. clean, wooded look. not sure about the ambiance. seems to attract a fratty crowd. ambiance kind of like a beer bar/ sports bar / west 6th bar combo. not really my thing. but the tap list was pretty nice.
