60 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20
I donít usually comment on other folks reviews but its worth pointing out that London Gargoyle who gave FULL MARKS is either the owner/manager/employee or they really need to get out of their hood, or even their coat in full, and learn what makes for a full marks venue. Oh yeah - I feel fully justified in making those comments as LGís sole contribution was to join the site on 21st June, review this bar, never logged in again. Shit - you had us fooled ... I digress.
Located opposite Putney BR station and part of the Lost group the beer selection on tap was pretty mediocre compared to Ales and Tails Twickenham (also part of the chain).
2 cask pumps, only one on - something average looking from a Sussex brewer and 6 craft taps of which only 4 were on. Nothing too exciting here either aside from Toccalmato Re Hop, however as is the case with A&T on occasion they donít list their beers properly !!!
It was simply listed as "Birarre Hop".
If youíre going to play the ícraft beerí game at least list the bloody brewery name if nothing else!
Fortunately the girl behind the bar, who was heplful and friendly, knew it was Toccalamato so I managed to work it out!
The place was trendy cafe style in layout and pretty dead at 5pm. Bottled menu was OK, akin to A&T - see the beers added above.
Worth popping in for a drink I guess if youíre in Putney, but by no means a go to destination.

100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20
Proud to be the first to review my favourite beer-joint in my íhood! Straight across the road from Putney train station, a really friendly and bustling place that opens its windows onto the street whenever the weather permits. Carlo and the guys really know their craft beers and they have a top selection of stuff on draft and by the bottle (good cocktails too if thatís your thing - if so how come youíre on this website?) They always have something interesting thatís not even on the beer-list if you ask them "anything new brewing?" And if youíve worked up an appetite then they do fantastic stone oven pizza (two for the price of one on weeknights) and a chilli-dog thatís worth coming to Putney for even if you donít live here. Through the wonders of technology Iím typing this as I eat a spicy Marrakech pizza and drink a bottle of Weird Beard Brew Company "Mariana" pale ale thatís not even on the list. What could possibly go wrong.................
