Its and airport bar, but at least it has some nice craft beer with a solid local selection. The airport bar gives it some negatives on ambiance and price. But if you’re stuck here for a layover, or flying in or out, its an awesome place to have.

Solid selection craft taps. Some Two Roads, Ithaca, Lawsons. Nice to see this kind of selection in an airport bar for sure.

It seems like this place has upped its game since the last ratings in 2013. Black Bear Saloon’s a very solid airport bar/restaurant. The 12 taps offered a pretty decent selection including some tasty locals. Even more impressively, Lawsons Sip of Sunshine had just kicked before I arrived. Clearly someone working here likes beer. The food was pretty decent American pub fare. Prices and service were reasonable. Overall, not bad at all. This place is definitely worth a look if you’re travelling through Bradley.

A dozen taps in a busy airport terminal. Crab dip was definitely past its prime. Other food pretty good. Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in BDL.

Pretty solid for an airport place - dozen taps with some good craft beer options. Nice sized menu. TVs. Good service.

Not bad at all for an airport bar/restaurant. The 6 rotating taps are very interesting and the service quite friendly. A good place to go.

(Visited 06/2013): Black Bear Saloon is in BDL in Terminal A.

Fairly typical airport restaurant/bar layout, with table seating out front and a bar in the rear.

There are 12 beers on draught, a few macros plus some regional craft brewers like Harpoon, City Steam, Blue Point and Long Trail. Other domestic craft breweries like Anchor and Lagunitas. As for bottles there are around 15, mostly macros.

Service at the bar on a relatively slow weekday afternoon was friendly and somewhat knowledgeable all things considered.

Food at Black Bear is not bad for an airport restaurant. My sandwich was pretty enjoyable.

Overall this is a worthwhile place to kill some time with decent food and a few worthy craft beers in an airport.
