Visited on June 20, 2014. Sat a while outside on the big patio, then a bit inside in the room by the bar. Fast and friendly service, nice selection of beers. A bit dingy restrooms. Got sort or a cool kids wibe to it, at least that was the impression I got.

Easily the best bar for craft beer in Budapest if you’re looking to drink Hungarian beers. Looks a bit like a ruin pub but lacks the charm/decor of the popular ruin pubs in Budapest. Pretty big beer garden in the alleyway leading to the entrance. Decently crowded in the early evening though service was efficient, and bartenders were happy to give recommendations. 20 taps but only 15 were on during my visit. Looked to be all Hungarian craft beers and none I’ve heard of before. Prices were pretty good for Budapest and amazing compared to London. Food looked limited to giant pretzels though there’s a sausage place next door.

Posto davvero eccezionale con uno stile decisamente underground non troppo distante dal centro di Budapest. Scelta di birre davvero vasta, sia spine che bottiglie, tutte di produzione ungherese e dintorni. Personale competente e amichevole.

For Craft Beer, it is the place to go. Friendly, helpful staff to get you into a beer that you like. 17 on tap. The two I tried were very high quality. Good to see these coming up in Hungary!

Big "ruin bar" in Budapest. They have quite a big selection of hungarian craft beers, hovever it does not rotate often. There is no foreign beers. It’s quite pricey.

Here’s the deal. Budapest is (in)famous for this style of bar/pub which is really run down and torn apart, on purpose. IF you want the Ritz avoid ’romkocsmák’. Otherwise, this place offers the widest selection of Hungarian craft brews on tap. Large indoor area, nice garden, occasional concert. Friendly staff. The naysayers are grumpy old men.

Typical ’ruin-pub’ in Budapest. It’s really boring with this low-cost style, you can find a dozen from this kind of places in the city.
Great selection of beers, but the place is awful, sorry...

Been there last weekend to drink some tap beer, but had a bit sourish beer, I don’t know the name anymore, and zip’s oktoberfest, wich was totally infected, as confirmed by the staff. Another beer from the chalk board was not available. Furthermore good value.

disappoints me every time, so after giving this place many chances I decided to stop visiting it... they act like they started the craftbeer revolution, which is far from the truth... they claim to offer a wide selection of beers, but the best ones are always "out of stock" (you can only figure this while asking for you choice as they keep forgetting to change their on the spot signs or Facebook statuses)... the opening hours and programs are always delayed... the staff is often unprofessional... my advice: don’t believe the hype and avoid this place!

Fantastic and understated (perhaps ’cool’) bar near the center of town. Sat inside due to the rain, but outdoor area looked like it would be perfect in warmer weather. Large rustic basement beer hall with a really interesting and fine selection of Hungarian micros. Waitstaff, at least when talking in English, weren’t particularly helpful in learning more about the beers. But the beers were good, served well, and the space was very enjoyable. This will be a regular place for me when in Budapest. Heartily recommend
