Very nice little bottle shop not too far from Place d’Italie. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about French beers/beer in general. Selection isn’t huge, but the quality is there. They carry Vallée du Giffre, which is usally a good sign. Lot of French micros and a good selection of foreign beers including some lambics. Price are ok considering it’s Paris. I really liked this store. Good ambiance, good selection, good service... one of my favorite of the city!

A very small and typical Parisian shop. I really like their attitude to compromising a selection. Over half at least is French micros, including some of the more attractive brewers such as Correziene, Sainte Cru and Le Paradis. The rest are nice Belgians and European craft imports such as De Molen, Mikkeller and even some The Kernel. Prices are Parisian too, even a tat high for that. The style of the shop also shows in the service, with great knowledge and attitude. It’s fairly easy to find and fairly close to the metro station. I liked their fridge (most French shops have this) with a mix of all their beers, chilled and ready for drinking. Great little shop, I hope they find a place to extend their available space and with that the selection.

Biérocratie is a new beer shop that opened just a month ago in the 13th arrondissment of Paris, in an area where such a place was missing.
The shop is quite tiny but has the atmosphere of a friendly cellar.
The place is owned by a young and enthusiastic couple, who will be more than eager to chat with you about beers, and will do everything to make you feel at home.
The beer selection is mainly focused on two countries: Belgium and France. Sure, you’ll find most of the well-known belgian beers, but what’s more interesting is that there is a rather good selection (100+ beers) of what’s currently being made in France by micro-breweries.
But the shop also offers beers from USA, UK, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, etc.
Prices are reasonable, especially regarding the beers coming from France, but also for the other ones (compared to other shops in town).
Plenty of beers are available in 33 or 75cl formats, and some fresh ones can be purchased right from the fridge.
All in all, it’s a very promising place you shouldn’t miss, especially if you’re interested in tasting some french crafted beers.
Oh, and don’t miss out Magritte, the shop mascot!
