Great views from the terrace! Good location in the old town, close to Náměstí Republik. Efficient staff and great selection of Czech micros on tap. Tasty food, had the duck leg with potato pancakes, nice and tasty, but nothing fancy. Lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Well what is an eating and drinking bar on the top of a shopping centre supposed to feel like? What do you compare it to? How much does the view count for? This one is open plan, attracts diners, shoppers and normal people and is not at all bad. Annoying muzak but hey. Only criticism is that the bottled list is hard to source - highlights on boards around the walls. Drafts change regularly and are off-centre but not edgy.

Restaurant on the roof of Kotva shopping mall. Outdoor area with a beautiful view. There is indoor area too. Good food. Interesting beers- some imported, some from Czech Republic.

(Visited July 2014) Restaurant on the rooftop of a shopping mall on the west side of Námestí Republiky. Take the elevator from Krŕlodvorská to the top. The outdoor area is quite large with spectacular views over the old town and the castle. There’s an indoor area as well, if it’s raining or too hot. Around ten draught beers, some imported and the rest from Czech micro brewers. Service was swift and friendly. Food was good. If the weather is good, this is an excellent place to grab a meal and a couple of good beers. And the location is very central. Definitely worth a visit.

A beer with a view…! Modern minimalistic bar with a great patio on top of the "Kotva" (means ’anchor’ or ’Anker’) department store. The best access is the quite well hidden lift outside of the store, which will bring You directly to the bar and the patio; good selection of czech micros; unique opportunity to enjoy a great czech pivo over the roofs of Staré Město (Old Town) with a view to the Prague Castle (Hradčany). Wort a visit!

That view!
Amazing place on top of a shopping mall close to Namesti Republiky. You can see most of Prague from the beautiful patio. We visited in January and had dinner indoors. Modern minimalistic interior with around 20 tables and a bar disk. We had the burger and it was really good. Eight beers on tap, interesting selection with focus on Czech micros. Best way to get there is via an elevator just outside the mall. Great service, english worked just fine. Dont miss it!

A nice place with great view but not really a place for three blokes on a beer crawl. Maybe next time with my wife? But, beer selection was good, both on tap and in bottles. Efficient service. (Visited October 8th 2014)

Perfect location, great view of the old city, or to be more precise, on the roofs of houses encircling the Old Square. The beer selection is good enough, especially if we take into account that place is focused mainly on tourists. Due to the open terrace, especcialy when it is good weather, all the tables are occupied. This also adversely affects the level of service - the waiter(s) is (are) responsible not for one specific table, but for the entire restaurant. Twice had to leave hungry and, most dissapointing, thirsty (on average, in the Czech Republic beer should be served within 5-7 minutes after you came). But if you are in Prague for couple of days and looking for a place to have couple of pints of something else than typical Pilsner, don’t hesitate and come.

Top of the world Mom! Best view, english spoken, 6 micros in good condition. Perfect served food and beers and cheap considering location. Brilliant experience. Visited two days in a row. Matuska rotating and Unetice plus Brewdog (libertine) on tap. Awesome.

Brand new beer terrace on the roof of Kotva shoppin centre Namesti Republicky. You take an express elevator to the roof by walking around the outside of the shopping centre. Great spot. It’s like a converted carpark roof. Loads of nice seating arrangements and a fairly unique view of the city skyline. 10 taps but 4 of them were off when I went. Giant selection of Belgian bottles all in the 100-130 kc category. The food was great. Burger and chips for me - textbook. It’ll probably take a while for people to notice that this place is even here.
