A nice old fashioned-ish pub close to the Opera House, popular with football fans on their way to and from the stadium (Old Trafford I suppose). I was surprised to find it on Ratebeer though as it has only two hand pumps (Timothy Taylor Landlord and Black Sheep Best Bitter when I was there) - itís not really a beer destination, particularly with so many other great places in the city centre.

In a small pedestrian square just before Quay Street meets Deansgate, This is a traditional bar with a saloon feel to it. Although it is all open plan on the ground floor there are three area that are part-partitioned by wooden framed glass walls. Itís all decorated in wood and soft furnished furniture to create a convivial city-centre pub and the absence of traffic directly out front means its patio area is a pleasant place. Has three real ale pumps.
