(Visited 08/2014): Aces & Ales’ newest location is on Tenaya Way on the northwest side of Vegas, very close to Tenaya Creek Brewing. There is a fairly large parking lot in front of the building.
The interior is dark, with a U-shaped bar in the middle of the main room that has several TVs above it, and the requisite video poker and keno games on the bar top. Table seating is available as well, and there are separate rooms for bands, games and such. As with the other location, there are video boards behind the bar displaying the draft selections. In addition there is a bottled menu available.
The draught selection is indeed among the best in Vegas, numbering around 50 and featuring breweries like Smog City, Green Flash, Joseph James, Pizza Port, Deschutes, and Alaskan. The bottled selection numbers well over 100 with breweries like FiftyFifty, Stone, Bruery, Firestone Walker, Maui and Ballast Point. Many Belgian options in bottles as well.
Service at the bar on a somewhat busy early weekday evening was good. The bartenders were personable and knowledgeable about the beers.
Food at Aces & Ales is pretty good in terms of bar food. My sandwich was enjoyable.
All in all this place belongs at the top of the list as far as beer spots to visit.

This is the newer location of Aces & Ales...just down the block from Tenaya Creek Brewery (nice one-two punch for craft beer). In my opinion this is easily the best craft beer bar in Vegas...certainly trumping the Freakin’ Frog (now closed for an undetermined time). The draft selection is excellent and the atmosphere, décor, and layout superb. To top it all off...the food is very good for pub food. Best of all though...the staff is great...I had the pleasure of being served and entertained by two wonderful waitresses/bartenders. The best way to describe this location is that it is the Yard House "if" the Yard House wasn’t so corporate and knew how to do their own theme correctly. Basically this place out Yard House’s The Yard House! LOL! (PS...I loved the grilled cheese & bacon...with Tomato Bisque soup too...just like the below reviewer)

What a place!! I went to the other location once which was fine. But the newer Tenaya location is top notch. Vegas is a vast wasteland for craft beer. But Aces and Ales has it together. The atmosphere is fine, but the service I had was excellent. The bartenders were very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They had a serious stoutfest going on there this particular Saturday night. They even explained why beers were priced higher in the flights (like Ten Fidy on Double Barrel Aging), etc. I had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato bisque. Delicious! A must visit if you are in Vegas. Probably an expensive cab ride. Lots of hotels nearby though.

Good horseshoe bar with 30+ taps and gaming on bar. The food is top notch with knowledgable staff. Has a patio for cool summer nights and a private room also. Abit out from the tourist of the strip, but makes up with many taps and bottle list. Stop by Tenaya Creek brewery down the street.

Our first visit to Aces & Ales was their first property on Nellis. To us this property feels larger and cleaner, plus there is a longer tap list. The list includes several low volume beers that hard or impossible to find any other place in the LV area. Our server was top notch knowing the beers on tap list and passing along her insight, but allowing the customer to feel there is no wrong decision. Hope they will reconsider bring back chicken and waffles to their menu.

Way off the strip.. But one of the places to get good craft beer... And this place certainly has good craft beer in spades. Not the greatest atmosphere.. But whatever. Good food... Knowledgeable service. Great selection of awesome craft beer. A must if in sin city.

Large sports bar, TVs everywhere. Food is very tasty. Oh, and they have beer, but that seemed secondary.

I decided to try out the new location (open about 3 months according to the bartender), due to its proximity to Tenaya Creek Brewing. Obviously new and modern, with one of those monitor based taplists that shows when kegs are getting low or were recently tapped. It is Vegas, so there are gaming machines built into the bar, but it is otherwise quite nice. A bunch of big screens in the bar; so I am sure it caters to the sports crowd during games. Looks to have a fairly large restaurant section as well, but I didnt try that. Really nice taplist, with something for pretty much anybody. Not many Nevada choices, surprisingly. Prices were reasonable, beer was properly served, bartender knew his shit. I would definitely frequent the place if it was close to home.

Whereas the original is a rockers bar, this one is more of a sports bar, with walls of the. Preferred the old place though. 50 taps but I felt the choice was more conventional, less rarities, but still, a great place,. Had a great grilled cheese.

1/2 mile from Tenaya Creek brewery . 50 taps but at least 10 were not available. Came for early dinner Saturday, bar is really dark, crowd was sparse but it was early. Great selection of west coast beers I can’t get. They do flights, pints are $6. Food was solid. Good beer destination.
