I was expecting a liquor store when I walked up partly because there were some beer boxes piled up outside and partly because they advertise beer right on the sign out front, but I was (pleasantly) surprised by the selection of both food and beer. There wasnít much room to sit at the small bar but there were some open tables. Not the largest selection of taps but decent all around. Port, Eagle Rock, Stone, Nobel Aleworks, Mission, Craftsman, Smog City, Kinetic, and Telegraph were all represented. The food was advertised as halal but the menu looked pretty varied with more than just your usual kebab to pick from. Iíll have to stop back in on the next trip through the area to try the food. Prices are high though and parking is a pain. I drove up and down the residential side streets for 10 minutes before finding a spot about two blocks away, but that was on a Sunday afternoon so I have no idea how it looks on a weekday.
Warning: the Facebook and Twitter links that Spitz provides go to the Little Tokyo location. The menu is the same but the location and hours are different.
