Some of the other stores have a larger selection of American craft beer, but this place has, I think, one of the better selections of Belgian, German and other European stuff. Worth a visit for sure.

Surdykís has a great selection of foreign beers, which is definitely one of their stronger points. They also have a nice selection of micro domestics, and lots of and lots of wine. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but not terrible so.

The selection is pretty good as far a bottles go in Minneapolis. I didnít check out the cheese section, but itís a separate room and smells pretty strong when the doors open(that means itís likely pretty good). Iím not sure I found too much here that was really rare, but the staff was helpful and I would stop back in if in the area to check out what they have. P.S. They have a great little shop in the MSP airport that worth a stop by for a snack/wine/craft beer, likely my favorite part of the airport.

When I did my postdoc 1993-4 I lived 3 blocks away and this was my supplier of wine, cheese and beer. The personal was always friendly and they had wine lectures for a bargin. At that time the selection was one of the est in Minneapolis that I found. Add to that a great place for a European to find cheese that taste something.

This place has a branch at MSP that has about half a dozen craft beers, including Flat Earth, Leftbridge and a bunch of Belgian stuff. Well worth a visit while you are transferring flights.
