Finally was near by The Jeffrey, and had a chance to stop in. Pretty much like all of Patrickís places in the city from a quality of list perspective. Food menu is small, but the food is pretty good. Has a nice sized backyard to go along with the 2 bar areas and the table area inside. Crowd here can lean a just a little toward the d-bag side, but otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about any of these spots, I always find something interesting to drink at them.
Visited 20160210. Modern beer bar. Had 2 beers and a salad with steak. Food was pretty good and beers great. Worth of visiting many times. When I left men behind desk said loudly to the other customer "Foreigners!". It left me wondering did I do something wrong or was that a common inside joke in New York. Annoying.
Narrow long bar with an indoor sitting room, high table plus an outdoor beer garden (was closed when Iíve visited the place). Great vibe, loud music. Very good draft selection, serves flights. Food was really great and could easily shared. Awesome place. Must visit while in NY.
I saw a beer just came in. I called in the evening to confirm. They confirmed. I said I was coming for lunch the next day and asked if they would have some. They confirmed. Itís far away. I went there for lunch. They could not serve the beer they confirmed the night before. Waitress said "the line was broken."
Very sloppy and dishonest.
Visited for lunch not too long after this venue first opened, Monday 25/11/13.
Smallish single room venue with a recess and corridor area around the other side that has a coffee bar in it, main beer bar to left as you enter.
20 taps and around the same in bottles.
Only 3 new ticks for me which was a little disappointing but some decent offerings, local stuff from Peekskill and (not much use to me in NYC) quite a few European offerings including Omnipollo and Tilquin. No tasting flights available here - not a problem on my visit bearing in mind the limited ticks, I just had to enjoy beer!
The venue is decorated in breweriana and there is a beer garden to the rear.
Food was good, the Reuben sandwich excellent.
Decent all round venue but not sure Iíd make a big effort to head back depending on my time in NYC and itís location (a block or so from the Roosevelt Island cable car).

Last minute team dinner on a Friday night? They were able to accommodate us at The Jeffrey - albeit a stretch. Service and food were good and the selection of beers on tap was great. Would be happy to do it all again for sure.
First and foremost, when you walk into this place, it reeks of truffle oil. So thereís that. The entrance is long and thin and a pain in the ass to walk through if itís crowded, but thereís quite a bit of room in the back. The draft list is pretty dope; a good mix of local one offs and regional hard-to-finds. Normal prices, imported Irish bartenders that like to talk trash... All in all, a pretty fun place to drink a few beers.
