Nicely decorated pub with trolls all around the cafe. Very friendly staff with good knowledge of the beers they sell. Good selection of Belgian beers.

Maybe my favourite in Ghent .. Beautifull interior with a lot of wood .. We sat near the bar so we chatted with the guy behind it that was nice and friendly .. We had some special Christmas brew .. We spent very good time here and they are open till late ..

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was almost empty when we arrived. There was a dozen of persons when we left. The place is huge and beautiful (especially downstairs), old and woodsy. Service was friendly and quick. Not much beers on tap (quality/quantity), but a good amount of bottles (only Belgians). Don’t look for anything rare though. Prices are a tad high... a little hight than Bierkant for 3F and Cantillon. A beautiful place that is worth a visit even if the selection is somewhat limited.

I’ve been here many times. returned last night such a fun place. Great selection (maybe 75 bottles) and nice staff. I like the fire place and it’s quiet most nights. my only remark is it’s a little expensive.

Easy to find, nice atmosphere & lots of young people in here. This place seems to be trending a bit, pretty packed but we managed to find a spot in the basement. There are multiple levels to this place. The whole place is a bit maze-like. Beer menu is solid, no real rarities but it had the most new tick’s for me from all the bars we visited during the pub crawl. Prizes are standard enough. Overall this place was solid enough place to try some beer.

I feel I owe this place a new rating, since they have changed a lot over the last few months. A bigger selection, good service, and they’re really trying to promote the Belgian beer culture. This place is moving up in my list of Gent favourites!

Very cosy interior, especially in the basement. Selection is ok but not too special. Quite pricey though. Service is mediocre, especially when in the basement you really need to pay attention and stop the waiter if he’s passing by, cause they tend to stay in the upper regions of the bar. Snacks are overpriced (at least the cheese/salami platter is).

MESSAGE FOR FOREIGNERS VISITING GENT: if you read this, you’re probably planning a visit to Belgium, and Gent in particular. I’m always interested to get to know other ratebeerians, and if you come from an interesting country, we can maybe to an in person beer trade? Contact me!
