Itís a 40 km round trip from my house. Always worth it. Hard to find beers? Here there are. Hardly any English beers though.

Small shop with a big range. Lots of stuff from Victoria, SA, NSW and Queensland. Besides all the usual imported stuff a Whol lot of Grey Market beers. Alesmith, Ommegang, Struise, DFH, Stone, etc. A Lot of stuff in the fridge and a lot of stuff ambient.
Service was non fussed and let me an others browse the selection.
Issue was pricing. Big markup. On everything. $12 for some Murrayís beers, upwards of $50 for some Alesmith and Ommegang beers. Local stuff was $1-3 higher than other shops in Sydney. Imported stuff was several dollars higher than competition would be.
No value in getting gouged here and did not buy one beer. Will not shop there again and suggest avoiding.
Website does not have prices and now know why.

A small little place in Rosebery. From the outside it looks just like any bottle shop in Sydney and even when you walk in, the feeling still may linger. Yet after a short look around youíll see shelves upon shelves of fantastic and very rare stuff (for Sydney and Australia). Itís even the only place in Australia that Iím aware of that stocks a couple of bottled of Westy 12! (Behind lock and key and for probably an unnecessarily piss taking price) The service is excellent and the guy who I took to be the owner is of course right into it so I can see this place getting bigger and better.

Barnys has the best range of craft beers in Sydney and Pete has done a fantastic job of building the range, and especially making contact with local (Australian) brewers. If youíre in the area on a Friday evening (5-7), they generally have beer (and wine) tastings. It also helps that itís right across the road from my place.

More beers then I have ever seen anywhere in Sydney. Fantastic trappist range plus they also have Westvletern 12!!! I donít think you can even get that anywhere else in the country!
A must for beer geeks haha.
