Located in trendy Pfefferberg area - filled with nice bars/restaurants. The area is nice & quite worth a visit. The brewpub itself has a small sort-of beergarten - a much better place than to sit inside. 4 beers are not bad, but not fantastic either.
Very nice place up the stairs walking distance from Kaschk. Very nice otdoor sitting area one store above street level. Only their own beer, not a broad selection. However, their unfiltered lager was great. Food and service is excellent but rather expensive. Opens quite late, wold otherwise be the perfect place for a late long lunch with a couple of beers in the sun in the biergarten.
Visited April 2016. Lovely, cosy brewpub, placed a bit away from the street, in an older building, together with the local theater. Friendly service, when we visited they had 3 regular and 1 seasonal beer on tap. Had a few guest beers as bottle as well. Beers served in decent condition. The menu looked very nice, wouldn´t mind coming back for a meal and a pint ;-)
(Visited July 2014) Nice brewpub in Prenzlauer Berg, close to U-bahn station Senefelderplatz. Quite close to Herman Belgian Beer Bar, from there walk southbound and take the first set of steps to the right up to a yard and you’ll find the brewpub on the right. Modern interior with a dining area and additional seating by the bar. Service was very friendly and informative about their beers. Nice and friendly atmosphere. They had four beers on tap, sadly the stout ran out before I tasted it, but the quality of the beers was quite good, specially the Helles. Didn’t try the food, but it looked really good, so I’ll try to come back. Worth a visit.
Visited September 21 - Upstairs in hipster-rich Prenzlauer Berg you’ll find the super Pfefferbräu, where you have the choice of indoor tables by the copper kettles or outdoor tables overlooking trendy Schönhauser Allee. There wasn’t much choice for beer when I visited, but my party reported that even the alcohol-free import was good. The Dunkel was smooth, very easy to drink, and would happily have lasted me all night excpet for my dedication to trying the Hell. The lighter lager was also tasty, but the amber colored Dunkel is the winner here. Food and staff are super!
