Cool grocery/bar hybrid just north of Dupont. Came during DC Beer Week for the Port City event. Good amount of drafts at the bar, two additional drafts outside from Port City on a jockeybox for DC Beer Week. Not sure how ordering food goes but I assume itís at stations around the store. Ordered popcorn at the bar which appears to be a different flavor each day, salt and vinegar flavor was tasty enough. $2 4 oz pours with full pours for $4, good value. Would enjoy coming back when itís less busy for an event like this.

Returned for the Handsome Beer Company Launch event on a Sunday. Nice and relaxed crowd with several seats available at any given time. Ordered some real food this time which you do in the back of the store. Good variety of sandwiches, pizzas, soups and such. Weekend brunch menu too, ordered the breakfast tacos which were tasty but a bit pricey with 4 small tacos for $10. Chili is also very tasty. Not much else to add to my previous review but bar staff is friendly and attentive. Value wise, Iíd give a 9 for beer prices and around a 7 for food prices.

Good place to duck in and grab a drink, or a few samples, of local area stuff from Va/Md/Penn/D.C. Only eight taps but always rotating new stuff in. They always have a few local bottles I donít see elsewhere as well. Sometimes they have cider or mead tasting booths set up here. Busy outdoor patio filled with hipsters in summer (it can be extremely busy after work these days). Food is good. Great prices.

This place is a hidden gem! $4 drafts all day, every day! That is pure value in the DC market (note: I am NOT talking about the rest of the grocery store).

This is a small specialty grocery store that sources local products, including 8 local draft beers, a bunch of regional bottled beers, and the best collection of small scale VA-MD-NY ciders and perries I have seen. The small bar up front has panini and charcuterie, and you can get deli sandwiches from the back and eat them at the bar, at picnic tables indoors or out, or at window seats. Service at the bar is haphazard and disorganized. There is actually bar service but sometimes itís hard to tell. So you just have to be vocal and help them focus. Itís the type of place and location that would attract Hsters and DBs, but the staff were very normal and very friendly, and obviously proud of their local sourcing. Oh, and you can open up beer or cider bottles and drink them here, and they fill growlers. Pints are always $4, very cheap by local standards, and flights of four are $6.50. DC has a solid and growing beer scene, but it lacks good beer stores, so this is a welcome addition.

4 dollar pints all the time! A friend drug me to this place, which looks like a small market, but inside is a bar area, a few tables. Nice rotating taps, all local from the Chesapeake watershed, so everything should be local. Probably will return to explore some more.
