Big frig with most beers in there, unlike other places in town. Lots of local and NY brews, which is nice but then again some lack in quality. Good selection, good people, good prices. Possibly the best beer selection in Rochester now.

Stopped in here while visiting, at the suggestion of my brother-in-law. This is the anti Beers of the World; huge refrigerator with lots of upstate craft beers, but selection lacked stuff from outside the region. They made a big point of not keeping things behind the counter (a la BOTW). Very friendly service, but the selection wasnít as good as I had hoped. Overall a pretty cool place.

AJís is a great new addition to the Rochester, NY beer scene. Biggest downside is they opened up so close to Beers of the World. Would have been nice if our bottleshop locations were a bit more diverse. The aspect of AJís that makes them particularly unique is their commitment to local beers. While their bottle selection pulls from all over the country and world, they have a particular focus on beers from this area, including many of the great breweries in the finger lakes region. The bottles arenít the best part though, as they also feature something like 20 tap lines for growler fills. These are also incredibly focused on local beers. This makes them often the only place outside of the breweries themselves to get great finger lakes beers. Bring a growler, sample some beers, and take home some local goodness!

Looks a bit run down from the outside and nothing pretty inside. Decent selection of bottled beer, a good bit of which is refrigerated, but this isnít BotW. Nice selection for growlers and "bombers" (half growlers, not 25 ounces). They say theyíll fill your own growler, plus the fact that you can get 32 ounces from the tap is nice. Prices are a bit steep. Still, a welcome addition.

Store just opened 11/25/2013. I stopped in a few days later. I was drawn there by them having a special New York state Beer section. I did find a couple there that I did not find at Beers of the World. The manager told me they want to get many of the NYS Micros in there. That would be a good niche for them, since they canít match the USA and world variety that Beers can fit into their larger store. They do have a good selection of the most popular USA and World brands. Their 1st week they just had 12 of their taps going and I enjoyed several free samples.
