New location way out on the edge of town, bordering on Moreno Valley. The grand open banner is still on the wall out front. Theyíve got several aisles of beer next to the liquor section which has a large sign above the shelves. They also have a shelf that says ďgourmet cheeseĒ. This must be what the new corporate layout looks like at Bevmo. Theyíve got more beer than the last few Bevmoís that Iíve been to which is nice but like most Bevmos what they choose to refrigerate is a small and oddly picked selection. Also, they donít have Orval or Rochefort. Hmm. Aside from that the pricing is decent and itís in a nice shopping center. They have a large selection of California made beer but nothing any more interesting than what you can find at any liquor store that carries better beer. Bear Republic, Stone, Firestone, Hangar 24, Port, Speakeasy, Karl Strauss, etc. The place is brand new and very clean looking and well lit, like most Bevmo stores, and like most Bevmo stores they only have a couple of employees that donít really know all that much about beer.
Somehow I donít think a whole lot of other people will be rating this place as itís about as far east as you can get and not be in Moreno Valley. I live on the other end of the city and I managed to drive 15 miles to get here. Actually I had a DMV appointment and going the 5 miles from there to Bevmo took a half hour due to lane closures and rush hour traffic. Iíll stick to my more local store which is Mira Loma these days, and not because itís all that great but because itís closer and easier to get to.
