Nice to have a new beer shop in central London! Pleasant place in which to shop. As others have mentioned, has some homebrew stuff as well as bottles. Obviously huge range of Brewdog beers, some other London breweries, certain of the more regular American imports, lots of Mikkeller. So finding something nice to drink is not a problem. However there is quite a lot of focus on the modern craft world of imperial hoppy this and beetroot juniper ice cream flavoured that, and I would say the selection of regional British, Belgian and German is almost entirely absent. Kris still rules in London...

Itís not in Kings Cross, a good 12 minute walk, which is a deception. It is in Holborn and Chancery Lane is the best tube to access it. The selection is OK, I have been a few times when leavin work and they have the same foreign staples, nothing overly interesting. The London stuff is current and reasonably priced. Not worth a special trip.

Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Apart from craft beers listed here, they also sell some glassware, home-brewing equipments, takeaway draft beer too.

Called here on a midweek afternoon. Spent a fair while browsing and contemplating, during which time a steady trickle of punters came and went, all seeming to leave happy. I thought the selection decent, although I was hoping to pick up some Mikkeller Imperial IPAís, but only got the one. Still, left with a decent haul, including a Fantome with only two RB rates. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Worth the trip, especially when combining it with a visit to Craft Beer Co, round the corner...

Great selection of bottles. Not just selling their own stuff. Reasonable prices.

Visited here on Saturday 17th May 2014 following our latest Thames Tipple pub tour, we walked up from Chancery Lane and like others have mentioned this place is only 3-5 mins walk from Craft Clerkenwell. In fact if you approach from Laystall Street leading onto Elm Street having walked from Craft then it is straight in front of you and cannot be missed. Having read the reviews with people saying how small it was it actually turned out to be not as small as I expected, yes itís small in width but it does go back a little way. The counter is on your left as you enter and in front of the main window, there is shelving down the left hand side but the right hand side is mostly taken up with a couple or so large fridges. I thought it was a little on the higher side from a pricing perspective, but to fair there was some very decent stuff. I picked up a Brewdog Paradox Heaven Hill, Mikkeller coffee Barley Wine and a Mikkeller Imperial IPA Simcoe We visited at about 18:30 on a Saturday there was a few people trickling in and out. Staff seemed pleasant though we didnít really talk too much to them. A good addition to the area and great for being so close to Craft.

Like other posters I was surprised at how small it was. I was expecting a HUGE range. What they do have, however is great and there is more than enough choice. Itíll be interesting to see how stock changes and whether itíll expand over time. Prices very reasonable indeed. A very welcome addition to an area that is swimming in brilliant pubs but (was) sorely lacking a bottle shop.

Visited around 2pm on Wednesday 7th May 2014. I walked from Farringdon Undergound/BR, just a shade under 10 minutes, I also walked past Craft Clerkenwell on my return just over 3 minutes Iíd say. Best logistic tip for Bottledog - there is a pelican crossing right outside so donít bother pissing about waiting to cross on the corners of Grays Inn Road, just march along until youíre bang opposite and cross at your leisure! The shop is smaller than Iíd anticipated, counter at the front, fridges to the right, shelves to the left and at the far end a large table where tastings etc would presumably be held. 2 taps for growler fills at the front, on this visit Punk IPA and Pressure Drop Pale Fire. Selection was decent, nothing to blow you away, but pretty dam solid for central London. Pretty much their online store selection, at very reasonable prices, plus a number of London locals you likely wonít see online with offerings from Kernel, Five Points, Weird Beard, Beavertown, Pressure Drop and Partizan. The guy behind the counter was friendly and dug me out a Black IPA as he could see I was sniffing them out, had he pulled out a new rate Iíd have been super impressed but alas it was not - still decent service in my book. Iíll touch on the vfm once more, way cheaper than the likes of Sourced Market where you can expect to pay £3.25/3.50 for a bottle of Kernel, the pales were £2.75 here. All the prices were decent to be fair, I picked up a 330ml bottle from Dieu De Ciel and Clown Shoes @£3.50 each. A definate visit for the beer tourist in central London, I just hope the range may stretch beyond the online store in the future so that you can pop in and pick up a nice surprise from time to time.

After a trek across town to check this place out, first impressions were a little disappointing. With quite a few bottle shops now available in London, I thought Brewdog might take it to the next level with a big range. Itís pretty much the same list as the online store so limited to Brewdog beers, and then the range of foreign brewers that Brewdog seems to have a supply deal: Dieu de Ciel, Brooklyn, Mikkeller, Kiuchi, The Bruery, and then some new stuff such as London brewers (Weird Beard, Brew by Numbers etc) and some other American brewers like Clown Shoes, Victory, Flying Dog, Blegians including Orval (£3), Hommelbier, La Trappe, Fantome and of cause the bottles of Westy 12. Which brings me to me next point. Not cheap. Prices are higher than certain other London bottle shops and to be honest a lot of the stuff can be bought as take outs in a lot of craft bars for similar prices. Bit of a disappointment really although youíll find a few decent rare things.
