I like Maddy’s. Good food and a nice big bar. Service is always adequate. Selection could be better but they try. Nice Neighborhood bar/grille.

The bar dominates the front half of this place, with the long bar itself on the left and bar tables on the right. The back half is more restaurant-like. I stopped in for lunch about an hour or so before a World Cup match started, and lots of people had staked out barstools and tables so I was unable to get a seat - sort of reminded me of southern European beaches covered with German towels. The beer list was about half macro and half micro, with a small handful of the more common local things from DC Brau, 3 Stars and Atlas - even though those are widely available, kudos for having beers from all 3.

Stopped in for a beer and to watch the world cup. It was packed. The bar has old world charm with good food and beers. They offer a wide choice of beers. I started with a DC Brau Public. Their fries also are excellent. Nice service when the bar was very crowded.

Decent sports bar north of Dupont Circle Metro. Decent size bar along with tables and booths. Some macros but a nice selection of craft beer on draft that I wouldn’t expect from a sports bar. Pretty good food. Decent prices. Service was fine though it was pretty empty between the lunch and dinner rush on a weekday.
