Had a nice happy hour special for easy boosting. Cool atmosphere and subpar beer.

Ok little place with a couple of good local beers on tap and some out of state classics. They had run out of their house brew when I was there but oh well. Homey place, and good for weekday nights. Cool neighbourhood.

Right around the corner from Maxís. Wanted to stop in to try something different. Wish I hadnít. The ambiance is the only nice part; old world looking tavern with wood floors, low ceilings and a old school feel inside. Thatís where the good part ends. Tap list has craft beer, but nothing exciting. Bartenders were terrible. Food is all fried or cheaply produced pizza. In that part of Baltimore, thereís really no good reason to stop in.

Nothing to write home about...
Small selection of beers on tap in "dive bar" atmosphere.
Kitchen consists of microwave and small oven behind bar.
Parking also challenge for no reward.

Visited on 6/12/2012. Great value on the day with the three 10 oz beers for $6 including a couple of brews from Dogfishpoint, and the pizzas being half price on a Wednesday. Service was cheery, which was commendable given the barmaid was cooking and serving beers at the same time. Great atmosphere, with a mixture of tourists and locals popping in for a pint. Well worth visiting.

I see I forgot to rate this place - visited here in July 2005. I remember a very cool wood-themed atmosphere, good food, and my first encounter with Oliver Cherry Blossom beer as I was first getting into craft beer.

Block off the main Fells Point strip of bars, so it tends to not get crowded aside from trivia night. Good thing since the place can get cramped quickly given the layout. Beer selection is good with a handful of cask beers, typically reserved for ales from Olivers/Pratt St. Good happy hour specials and decent food choices (fantastic hush puppies).

Lights and coloring remind of Christmas and Bergmanís Fanny and Alexander. Really chill vibe except on trivia nights. Three different sets of taps in one small, cramped, oddly divided floor. Decent food, decent service, small number of taps support locals, occasional surprise. Decent if curt service. Within walking distance of most Fells Point hot spots, though surrounded by residence.

This is just my kind of place, wood everywhere, hand pumps, a good draught selection, friendly staff and a proper pub atmosphere. For me, this place is what beer is actually all about, socialising.
