My experience was an effing disaster - mostly because of the service to the patio was dismal. Our waiter couldnít get our order right. One guy ordered his food 10 minutes before the rest of us (he didnít order beer) and his Kobe patty melt arrived as a burger. The tots came as fries. Wrong beers. Food came 40 minutes after the first personís plate. I think he got the deep fried cheese curds right? When asked for the bill - we waited 25 minutes and had to go through the whole reconciliation again because beers, food and sides were a mess. Server was asleep at the wheel unfortunately.
Right across the street from 10 Barrel, I finally decided to check this Rogue location out. This one, like other locations, has an old-style feel to this expansive place. Service was extremely friendly and prompt, being very generous with free samples. Prices very good for flights. Tap selection offers a large range of Rogue beers, with many I had never had before. Wouldnít recommend this as a priority stop, but itís a decent addition to Portlandís downtown brewery/bar destinations.
Visited on a Thursday evening in March 2016. Quite crowded but still kind of relaxed. The service was good although a bit "diffrent". The lady had "skinn pŚ nšsan". (canít translate that). The food was ok as was the beers. A decent place.
Visited late on Wed July 1, 2015. Seemed like a nice relaxed place this time of night. Was going to order a flight and sit with my friends a while. was asked ID, so showed my Swedish driverís license. Apparently since my type of ID was not on some list of approved ID I was not allwoed to stay at the bar, was asked to bring my passport next time. Have never been denied using this as my ID on any of my travels in the world. Also the fact that it does state Iím pretty much twice the legal drinking age of this country didnít seem to matter. The server was more or less just shrugging his shoulders sayain 2sorry dude, you messed up, canít help ya". Not a place Iíd return to with that kind of attitude from the staff.
