Nice brewery-tap with a pretty cozy interior, You feel a bit like sitting in the brewer’s living room; not very quiet exterior, because the narrow "patio" is located on the pavement of the quite noisy ( by franconian village standards) road to Trailsdorf; smaller selection of the brewery’s products. Worth a try!

Visited lunchtime Friday 17.10.14. Seating area decorated with quite a few knick-knacks - might not be to everyone’s taste, but I thought it nicely done. Good food, possibly a larger portion than I wanted since I still had walking to do. Kellerbier vom Fass was a little too sweet / caramelly for my taste.

Surprisingly fun place, which we visited twice in one day. The food is ridiculously good and probably the best I’ve had in Franconia...both lunch and dinner were shockingly flavorful and well-cooked (tender meat, crisp veggies, very aromatic/spicy sauces, etc.). Good selection of beers too, although the quality is very hit-and-miss with this brewery, ranging from terrible to very good and everything in between. Pleasant staff, some of which speak ample English to help a little bit with the food menu. Mixed six-packs of beer to go, nice ambience, etc. Probably the only drawback is it can be a bit pricy (my lunch was around 20 euro). But considering the quality of the food destroys pretty much anything else I’ve had in Bavaria, that’s ok.

cozy multi-roomed interior with a small bar area in the main room. food menu is more adventurous than most Bavarian spots. helles lagerbier on tap with bottle rauch and kellerbier on one visit. kellerbier on tap with a number of other things in bottle, including Smoky George and Bitter 42.
