Massive corporate sports bar feel to this place in central Tempe. You can order a flight of all their standard beers for a cheap price and their rotating ones for a little more. Service is a bit nonchalant but speedy and superficially friendly. Beer quality is weak for the most part with a couple of standouts.
Very large and popular brewery with busy patio on a Friday afternoon. Close to campus. Parking could be difficult. Happy hour deals 2-6 great value. Interesting if limited selection of beers (no guests) but extra points for the effort to include cask. Full view of brewery adds to the authentic brewery ambiance. Seemed to be a regular meeting place for many. Well worth a visit if cruising the Tempe area, though a bit away from the rest of the action.
Big patio. Big bar. Lots of table seating. Exposed brewing area; you’re literally in the brewery. Attentive, helpful service. Good pub grub. Large portions. Fair priced. Offered all their standard (the stuff they bottle) beers they always do, nothing more. They seem stuck in ’old timey’ craft beer times.
A bit of a campus bar. As previous reviews note, expect to find street parking a few blocks away. ID checkers at the door. Quite large inside, although its not obvious from the outside. Large patio as well with swamp coolers in the summer. Packed packed on a Saturday evening. I finally managed to squeeze in at the bar. Service was decent. I tried one beer; a special Belgian, and it was standard fare. Most of the rest of the taplist was not too exciting; at least while I was there they were not deviating much from the old guard styles. Brewing equipment on full display, which is cool.
This place is pretty misleading from the outside. Nice patio area with misters is comfortable, but the inside is actually huge. Good view of brewing equipment, large bar, and even larger seating area makes this place loud and busy. Parking sucks though, so plan to be far from your car. Food was excellent and good selection. Beer was mediocre but good variety.
If you are in the phoenix area and like beer four peaks is a must! Great beer, only serve beer they brew. Their beer is the most popular across the valley and all on AZ. Their food is enough reason to visit, one of my favorite restaurants in the Phoenix area. 21+ place but great service, great outdoor seating (weather permitting) and nice to see their brewing process inside.
Packed on the weekend. Lively atmosphere. Didn’t try the food. Beers were average to good. Parking was far away. Quite a party environment, but with a good crowd. Huge bar space. Usually have some sort of special cask on. Worth checking out.
Brewpub that is very close to the ASU campus. Plenty of street parking if you drive there. They have their 6 or 7 beers that are always on tap and then a few special beers. They have some very solid beers for very good prices. I have been there during the business lunch time and also when it is mostly college students. The service has been fine both times. Patio seating is nice and the bar has enough room. A pretty good place to have a few of their beers.
