I have stopped here in the past to pick up Indiana beers that I can’t get in KY, but that is no longer the case. Decent selection, many of which are available as singles. Common liquor store ambiance, clerk who knew very little about the stock, okay if this is where you live, just don’t look for adventure.

Pretty good selction of micro stuff, including some that aren’t sold around Cincinnati (3 Floyds, Boulevard, New Belgium, et al) and a few imports I haven’t seen at many other places. Friendly service but beer knowledge varies by the employee. Nice place to stop if you’re in the area. They also have an older location near the casino as well as a newer location in or near Aurora.

The store itself is clean and a good size, nothing special as far as layout is concerned. A decent sized selection of craft beer in the back left of the store, and a cooler with mixable six packs on the back right. Service seemed less than knowledgeable about beer. Selection was actually pretty decent- beer from Stone, DFH, Victory, New Belgium, Goose Island, Bell’s, Oaken Barrel, Schlafly, FFF and Boulevard. The mix your own six pack was only 9.99 and featured some Bell’s and Boulevard beers. This store also carries local Great Crescent beer by the growler. Not a bad stop if in the area, but the Pour House up the road is better, methinks.

Whitey’s Wine and Liquor is a brand new store on the South side of Route 50 just before entering downtown Lawrenceburg. This is primarily a liquor store, but they do have some wine and beer. Unfortunately most of the beer is of the macro persuasion, but they do have a very small selection of micro, craft, and import beer. They have a few Indiana-only beers. What’s also great is that they have several 12 oz beers available by the bottle. One of the biggest surprises was finding that they have Dark Horse Crooked Tree IPA by the bottle! That was worth the trip alone, but unfortunately that was the only Dark Horse beer they had. Since this store is new, it’s super clean and well organized. It also has plenty of parking in the lot out front.
(1) The windows are tinted, so it might look as though it’s closed even though it’s not.
(2) I believe that this location is owned by the same people that own the older Whitey’s Package Store closer to the casino (I have never stopped in though).
