Visited on a Wednesday in June 2014.
I liked the interior of this place, it kind of reminded of an old ship. The location is excellent, by the river close to everything.
The selection was good as was the service. Norwegian prices are always "interesting". A place to visit if visiting Trondheim.

A staple when it comes to beer in Trondheim. It is a lovely place with a good selection of beers, at least by any Norwegian standard. However the selection has decreased over the last few years and the service i received on my last few visits wasn’t all that good either. The people manning the bar are nice, but they aren’t all that knowledgeable.

What a lovely place by the river. Also locatet in Bakklandet. Lovely part of Trondheim. Floors are not straight here. And prices are not low.
Fine "patio" on the river. Lovely ambience.

A very nice pub situated on the riverbank in an old charming building. The selection of beers have declined over the last years, but they still have a huge selection compared to the average Norwegian pub. However, the prices are way above the other beer places in Trondheim, so this is the spot where you get the least for your money.

Nice old wooden storehouse by the river that’s been partly converted into a big rambiling pub, divided into many rooms. They have the best beer selection in Trondheim, with a good range of imports, and a number of local beers. When I was there they’d sold out of Kinn, and had no other local beer, but they do try to stock it. The service is good, but beware of the cold when temperature is below zero. Also, the food is disgraceful.

As this is the best beer place in Trondheim I had to visit them when I was in town. The place is old but charming. The day before I visited them they had a big party that had emptied most of their kegs so the selection was less than usual. They claim to have over 200 bottles available, but I could only count around 30-40. As always in Norway the prices are high but not worse than other places in Norway. I didn’t try the food.

Old bar & building- nice place. Knowledgeful & helpful bartender.
Good bottle selection (100 minus), not to much interesting on tap the evening of my visit- but it will vary. Some exciting bottles, but most quite available. The pub does noe operate with beer lists- but they will help or you look at whats exhibitrd in the bar
Worth a visit

Nice bar overlooking the river. Weather permitting, the barge is a good alternative to the indoor seating. Bottle selection much better than the few taps available. Seemed like they were out of micro taps, except for one Nøgne. Could not locate a bottle menu. The QR (bar code) displayed on the wall claimed to offer one, but it did not work on my phone reader.

Visited a quiet Sunday evening in August. Den gode Nabo has an outdoor "patio", that actually is a float in the canals in Trondheim. Excellent view over the old part of Trondheim. Indoors a nice, brown "beercave", with a lot of corners you can hide in. Selection was somewhat poor, when I was there: Draught only Ringnes\Carlsberg alternatives, Pilsner Urquell and Sam Adams. The bartender told me, that they had an exceptionel summer, and had sold out Usually their selection is better. Good student vibe at the place. Their outdoor terrasse overlooking Bryggen in Trondheim makes this place worth a visit. Especially if selection improves after the summer.
