Just about across the street from Revolution, so itís an easy stop if youíre headed there. Looks kind of like a typical crappy liquor store from the outside, but inside they have a massive beer selection. Lots of six packs and singles from local and regional breweries Half Acre, Revolution, Goose, Pipeworks, Three Floyds...etc. More sixers than singles (mostly large format bottles for that). They also had a decent selection of imports and out of the area beers...saw a number of the Eclipse variants, for instance.
Only real complaint here is that maybe the prices were a bit on the high side. But convenient location near Revolution and good selection.

Vas Foremost is probably the best beer & liquor store in Logan Square. The coolers have a solid selection of domestic, import and very local brews, including plenty of Pipeworks/Revolution etc. They will receive a small amount of rare items too, so always worth checking in on. Would be great with a 12oz singles/mix a six option but you canít have it all. The staff are always very friendly.

Nice selection of beers. Saw quite a lot interesting ones here. No singles which was a problem for me. No service as it seemed to be a corner liquor store.

This store is definitely better than the Logan Square Pantry across the street but with the prices what they are here Iíd almost rather shop over there. That said there is a pretty good selection of locals and some nationally distributed stuff. Saw some Eclipse bottles and some Bruery anniversary beer among plenty of other things. Despite that the store definitely has a corner liquor/grocery store feel to it. A couple doors down from Revolution Brewing which is nice.

Visiting Chicago and staying in the Logan Square area, I found Vas Foremost to live up to expectations. Has a huge selection of craft beer and tons of local Chicago options like Pipeworks, Half Acre, Finches, etc. I ended up walking back to the apartment with a huge box of bombers!

Solid beer shop. Walked over after having a few at Revolution - the only 12 oz bottles available were in 6-packs, but there was a really nice selection of bombers. Couple hundred craft beers available here. Bomber prices seemed to be $8 - $16 (for the ones I looked at).

small selection of large format bottles with a greater six pack selection in the coolers. seemed to have a good variety of more regional breweries and a number of seasonals available.

Ambiance? Does this matter? Enter through metal barred door on to grimy linoleum in to harshly fluorescent lit bodega. Along the back wall and one side are coolers full of a great selection of domestic and import micros. FFF, Founders, Great Lakes, Port/LA, Goose, and the norms are all represented alongside Laughing Dog, Boulevard, Big Sky and other breweries who are less represented in this area. Nobodyís ever offered to help me find anything, but Iíve never wanted any help. Cashiers donít seem to know anything about beer, but they donít need to IMHO. Solid selection, decent prices, no bells or whistles. Update (9/21/12) Stopped in on my BCS journey around town. They were charging $4.50 more than Binnyís for a four-pack. Downgraded "value from 8 to 4.

I go here pretty often as it is right on my way home from work. It has gotten a lot better in the last 3 years or so. Prices are high, but they have a huge selection and some rare stuff sometimes. Lots of bombers and singles. Like I said, a little pricey, but they usually have something interesting. Bring cash if you are spending less than $10. If you are like me, your bill will be over $10, no problem.

Stumbled across this place after leaving Revolution... looks like an ethnic liquor store, reminds me of Puerto Rico Food & Liqours... about 15 coolers, filled mostly with sixers, but they had a dedicated section of singles by style... great and varied selection, they had a lot of beers that I havenít seen at other stores, a 6 pack of Bellís Batch 10, TNP, Utopias, and plenty of Three Floydís AK, PJ and RB...downside is that despite the great selection prices are about 20% more than anywhere else and a lot of the beers didnít seem to be fresh
