70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20
When I visited: Late September 2014.
What I had: Draft pint of Yards General Washington Tavern Porter Bourbon Barrel, Soup of the Day and the Truffled Cheesesteak Empanadas for me, glass of 2010 Ranga Ranga Sauvignon Blanc and a Spinach Salad for my fiancť.
What I liked: Casual and welcoming gastropub vibe, no trouble finding seats upstairs, ample space between tables, quick and friendly service, solid draft list, fair prices, we enjoyed our food and drinks, dog theme is very well executed.
What I disliked: Beer selection is stellar but limited, doesnít seem like they pay much attention to glassware, as a restaurant Good Dog is easily an A+, but as a beer spot I canít give it more than a 3.5.
Would I go back? Yes. We had a great lunch here and would frequent this place often if we lived in the area.
Overall Rating: 70

A bit stuffy and tight in there. Beer selection was ok but prices were on the high side. Food coming out looked good and rumor has it their burger is top notch but I didnít eat. Friendly service.

Small but ok tap list. Bottle list was outlandishly priced. Cool laid back up stairs bar.
Did not eat but food looked good.

This is a fun place and perhaps made better by the Deschutes feature I hit on Phillyís beer week. Like many Philly bars, this place is small and homey, with great atmosphere. Fun, and good happy hour specials. Food smelled good, though I didnít have any.

Bar located in Center City, in close proximity to other great bars such as Monkís. Stopped in for the Firestone Walker event during Philly Beer Week where they had 5-6 of their beers on tap and an additional 5 offerings from other brewers. Three stories, but I only camped out on the first. Just had a taste of the food and it was good but friends loved the burgers.

Nice craft beer bar in Center City Philadelphia. Three floors, bar located at the first and second, and still manages to be crowded almost all of the time. Maybe a dozen taps but nothing unusual. Mostly local breweries, so good thing you are in Philly and have Troegs, Victory, Weyerbacher, Yards, etc! The food is way above average pub food. Extremely tasty fries and one of the best burgers Iíve ever had!

Stopped in to have a "Apple fixed my computer and I donít have to buy a new one" celebratory pint the other night. Dark, narrow, and long. Much the same as any big city, east coast city. Pretty crowded for a Monday night and I had to stand while having beer, but not so crowded that I was in the way. Barkeep served me fairly qucikly after I entered so bonus for that. Beer selection had some good stuff on (Founderís Breakfast Stout, among other things) but for the most part was lacking in creativity. A few tvs showing hte TB v. Texas playoff game. I could see making this a normal stop if you live or work close by, but really not worth going out of your way for. However, the food looked and smelled delicious so maybe next time Iím in the area Iíll stick around longer than just one beer.

Interesting sort of neighborhood place with a hipster vibe that serves the most amazing homemade rice krispy treats. The place is a bit dark so itís hard to see things like the menu or the person who youíre talking to. The beer selection is ecletic and crafty without actually being good. But the food is really good and Iíd probably go back if I stumbled into again.

Small local (neighborhood) bar. Crowed... I went there on a saturday night for a ballast point event. Good selection but all the beers were not pouring correct. All head. Kind of dissapointed. I dont know what they have on draft on a regular night but I probably wouldnt return anyway. Too small and crowed.
