Apart from the lack of ideal location, I really can’t find a complaint about this place.
The owner, Kris, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He was kind enough to give me a small discount when I purchased over £150 of beer. The type of service only available in small businesses!
Kris’s passions for beers shows in the selection, as he puts everything in there. Good selection of European beers (e.g. Mikkeller, De Molen, Struise, UK brewers). An unbelievable selection of American beers - Pipeworks, Prairie Artisanal, Stone, Alesmith, etc.
He keeps the shop simple, small, with no music just to focus on the beer.

Ambiance: Well, no music or strippers or anything, just a regular shop with beers. Small and filled from floor to ceiling and can feel a bit cramped if you’re not the only person in the store. The street outside seems interesting with people wasted out of their minds in the afternoon.
Service: Was offered assistance as I stepped through the door, and Kris knows his beers and gives good recommendations. I have only met the dreaded “other guy” once. He fetched me a box to stand on so I could reach the top shelf, so he is good for something.
Selection: Worth to travel for. Great selection of Belgian, German, American and Danish beers along with an extensive selection of locals. No bargains, but the prices are fair and if you put some money down you sometimes get an extra bottle thrown in for free. Found some stuff that has passed on the date, so bring your reading glasses.
All in all the best bottle shop I’ve visited in London so far, but unfortunately a bit out of the way for me.

Small beer (and wine/spirits) shop but packs in a big selection. Dedicated shelves for Belgian, German, UK, London beers, and other areas for Dutch, US, Spain, Scandinavia etc. Belgian selection had lots of stalwarts but also some new beers from the likes of Alvinne and de Struise and others. Good seleciton of German beers from Alt, Berlinerweisse, Doppelbock to Hefeweizen. Omnipollo, Kaapse, De Molen, To Ol, Westbrook, Flying Dog, etc. are all well represented, though I was surprised to see no Italian craft beer on this visit (but selection changes regularly so that will probably not be the case next time). Large bottles (750ml) also available from The Bruery, Rogue, Alesmith etc.
330ml bottles seem to start from around £2.99 and upwards - which seems a little pricey but the trade-off is the selection in one place. One of the best bottle ranges in London.

Poped in while drivning North to Stansted for a quick one (family was waiting in the car). A bit back and forth but my wife guided me well (many thx), probably easier to go with the Tube and walk the last distance. Presented me a the desk - and what I could understand from the latest reviews I was lucky,- Kris was on duty! - My advice there either give a ring or mail in advance an book a time were there is less customers (likely) and Kris there or bring your IPhone or similar to check RB for advice. Great selection of London beers (no Brodies, though) English, American, Belgian, and a few sour - mostly big bottles and medium standard high prices for the sours. Prices were good for the local... Kris was very helpful in helping me out with the last bottles - flying with Ryan;). He also poped in a Saison that was cold as on the way beer for free - Worldclass! When you are going there: bring a big backpack, a loaded Visa and allow you at least one hour to go through the selection. It looks wee but’s packed with gems. Many thx Kris!

A very small shop in a less than desirable location. Nevertheless, Kris typically has a huge selection of European and American beers at great prices for London. Kris knows his stuff and is helpful but if he’s not there, the other guy doesn’t know anything about beer. It can feel very cramped with just a couple customers inside. Another downside is that the neighborhood and some of the clientele are a bit ghetto. I’ve been inside while fights have almost broken out right inside the doorway.

Small store with a good amount of beer, but also wine and spirits. The staff (the owner?) was extremely friendly and helpful, but I was a little disappointed when I noticed that the Partizan Mild I bought on his advice was a couple months old. [UPDATE: I just received a beermail from Kris who, after seing my review, apologized and offered me a refund or to replace my bottle. Classy and professionnal, that’s good service in my opinion.] Selection is interesting, but not that much better than other store I visited in Greater London area (like Drink of Fulham and Beer Boutique). Price are a tad high, but not higher than other stores in Greater London area. Definitely a nice place to have in the neighbourhood. Based on other comments, it seems like the place to go for limited releases, but it seems they weren’t many left when I went. Still a very nice beer store.

Very small store, big selection, minor in service. I took my time in here, and searched the shelves for the better part of a halfhour, without any questions from the man behind the counter, and when i asked him a question, he woulld know just as much as Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
