This place is a success because you can get what you want the way you want it. You can sit in the dining area with friends and family or you can sit at the bar and meet someone from halfway around the world. Years ago you could order from the side window on the Grand Central station concourse and walk away with lunch. The feel of the place is great the beer selection is pretty good and the food is good too! The value is there at the bar where itís always been cheaper to eat with a workingmanís feel to it. Went back around Christmas and felt like i was 18 again. Can be expensive in the dining room. Dining room staff just pretensive enough to exude sophistication.

This place has a surprisngly nice beer list. The tap list is short, but the bottle list is well-selected and complements the food nicely. I drank a few seasonals frm Brooklyn in here before having a bottle of Saison Dupont with dinner. The ambiance isnít what it could be (a little too cramped for space considering how cavernous the room is and a little too loud for a dinner). Still, for a touristy spot, you could do a lot worse.
