Fun brewery to visit. Always someone friendly and knowledgable to greet you at the door/store. Decent selection of beers (though too many pilsners, if you ask me), some of which are not available at the LCBO. One seasonal brew at a time, some of which can be found at the LCBO. You can singles or growlers, so everyoneís needs are met. Tour and tasting is good; ours was guided by the brewmaster himself. Got to talk lots about the brewery and craft beer in general with him. And the tour comes with a beer glass. The beer itself is, of course, great, particularly the seasonals. This is a regular stop for me when Iím in Cambridge. Just waiting for the day that they finally turn it into a proper brewpub.

Primarily a bottle shop, the brewery also does tours and special events on site. The building itself is pretty cool, the brewery is housed in a former knife factory. Large tasting bar, the brewer took great care of us on one visit. I am not sure if they normally do samples and tours or not. Call ahead if you are looking for that I guess.

Great brewery. Pretty wide variety of styles. Owners and head brewer on site almost full time, super friendly. Winter beer club nights are great events!

Itís a real brewery experience here; the retail is small but functional. The beer is fresh and flavorful. Great IPA

First stop on a recent trip to Cambridge, Hamilton, and Niagara Falls with mrmanning. Thereís a couple of parking spots out front of the very tiny retail store, which carries some GRB shwag like the reusable bottle bags. Selection was substantial with all of the core beers available in growlers and bottles and multiple seasonals (Curmudgeon, Jubilation, Russian Gun) in stock as well. However, the tasting room was going through renovations on our visit, so the brewery looked a bit drab. Also, despite displaying a keen interest in the beers, we were not offered a tour of the brewhouse and the taps were not flowing either. So that was quite disappointing. I feel inclined to rate this brewery a "70" but the outstanding quality of the beers warrants higher marks. Hopefully my future visits will be more rewarding.

Fantastic low key. friendly place with top-notch brews. Rob, Bob and Jane are welcoming and will do thier best to show you around. Well worth the visit, but because of the small stall if might be a good idea to call ahead.

Visited on a quiet Saturday lunchtime in October, they had several samples of their brews available on tap. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products and brewing in general, and quite chatty. The building is wonderful preserved and historically interesting, being a factory of industrial knives for the last 100 years. Full of natural light and spaciousness and cool relics, they could easily hold fun events here on a regular basis and expect good turn-outs (hint hint). We took a little tour of the facility and itís impressively efficient for the amount of product they brew. Our group picked up a few tasty 6-packs from the store before heading out. Overall, interesting to tour, and the beer is certainly worth the visit.

A wonderful experience. As far as the installation/building is concerned this might be the most beautiful brewery I have ever seen. Located in some cool historical building with plenty of breathing space. Very small gift shop but a rather large tasting room. Ultra friendly manager (owner?) that gave me large samples of everything that they had on tap. This place is run by passionate people. Grand River specializes in quality session beer. Except for Czech Republic pubs I donít know of another brewery that makes so many quality below 5% brews. Not even in England. I bought bottles, growler and bottle opener and left very happy I made the detour. Really worth a visit.

Too my mind the best brewery in Ontario. The former knife factory provides a neat space. And their beers of course are the real draw. Iíve driven here from Toronto multiple times just to pick up their beer. Sold in 500 ml bottles and growlers. It helps to know when things are being brewed since some of the beers can sell out in a hurry (for instance, I couldnít get any Curmudgeon this weekend though I understand some will be available next one). In any event, definitely worth a visit.

This is where a lot of my paycheck goes. The entire line-up of beer is outstanding, with the majority of their beers being under 5% abv, making them ridiculously sessionable. Rob, Bob, Jane and the entire staff are always extremely friendly and always bend over backwards to treat you right, answer questions and talk beer. Their beer pairing nights this winter were the most enjoyable events on my beer calender all year.
